Hi folks. Planning on staying at BLT 2 BR in March with our 5 kids all in their 20's...it will be our first time staying there. Please give thoughts and advise on the resort. We've been members since 2008 so we're not new to Disney, just the resort! Thx!!

Love the resort. Easy to walk to MK. Another thing is that you can do is travel by monorail to visit the other MK resorts to look around and have an adult beverage at each! We have even then took the boat for the back of the Contemporary to the Wilderness Lodge to have a drink there.

If you want a potential of seeing MK fireworks from your room, put in a request for an even numbered room..unless you have theme park view and that will already happen!

It's a great location! Transportation access by monorail, buses, walking - quick walk to contempo cafe next door for food - great pool!

Exquisite room:

Lest not forget top of the world lounge! (service not that great, but the food usually is)

just an FYI, to get a room with the above posted layout, you need to be on the outer ring.

You can use the pool at the Contemporary where the food menu is better than at the BLT pool. Ping-pong, shuffleboard, giant chess are right outside the community hall.

Easy boat ride to WL and FW for more dining and entertainment options.

Some people don't like the contemporary styling, and while it's not our favorite, we find it in line with what the CR/BLT vibe should be. The convenience to MK is undeniable, as is having the monorail there. Food quality overall is good. Elevators are speedy. Having TOTWL is a bonus, as well. For your case, having a third bathroom undoubtedly be a blessing. It's not our home resort, but if we were ever to buy more points, it would be at or near the top of our list.

BLT is one of our home resorts. We love it.

Our 2nd favorite restaurant on property is California Grill - for dinner or, for an easier on the wallet trip, cocktails and snacks. I *think* you can return later for fireworks viewing if you want. We also love to hang out on the side that faces WL, have taken the boat over for dinner at the WL restaurants many times, and find that it feels like such a getaway from the MK, just from being on the other side of the building. There is also a very peaceful BBQ/picnic area to the left of the DVC pool if you put the BLT building at your back. Someday we'll grill and eat out there...

We stayed at BLT with my 2 young girls, our 2 adult girls and my parents. We got a 2 bedroom and loved it. We could walk to MK and would take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge to have drinks at the bar in the evening.

We've stayed there three times, the most recent was a month ago. Our first time was in a 2br theme park view. Loved having that third bathroom, with seven of us in the room.

The last two times were in a 1br Bay Lake view, but by getting a room that ended in ten and then four you get the bonus of theme parkish view for less points. Both of these rooms are half of a lockoff 2br, and you end up with the extra bathroom as well.
