BLT Developer Points - SSR only or anywhere?

I have read conflicting posts regarding the new BLT Developer points. I have read that they can only be used at SSR and I have also read that if you buy a certain number of points they can be used for a 1 Bedroom anywhere?

Can someone please confirm?

Also, can someone give details on the use of developer points, can they only be used 7 months out?

The other option is a 3 night stay in any DVC 1 BR if you buy over 160 points, or a 5 night stay in any DVC 1 BR if you buy over 220 points. Both options must be used by 10/3/09.

Is the 3 night stay including weekends? Also do you think this promotion will expire quickly, or be around for quite a while?

developer points have different rules than your dvc points.

sounds like these developer points at SSR, DL Resort or the World Passport Exchange.

ssr is at WDW - this is the only WDW resort you can use these developer points at.

DL - disneyland resort

world passport exchange is II exchanges plus a couple of other companies

they expire on 10/3 so you have to use them by then...if it doesn't work, you could always rent out the points and make some cash.

The points expire 10/3/09 if you use them at SSR or DLR. They are 7 month points if used at SSR or DLR.

You have 12 months to use them for II. I did not ask if you still had to pay the $95, but I am assuming yes.

The 160 level or more you can choose 3 nights in a 1 bed anywhere, but only at 7 months based on availability and they still expire 10/3/09. So if you know availability this may work.

These incentives have really gotten complicated!

I bought in last friday and my guide offered my both options as well but I figuered I could get a studio for 9 nights at SSR versus 3 nights in a 1 bedroom anywhere. Being a teacher and having the summer off we took the 160 SSR DP points for this summer. Add that to the left over AKV DP I have and we are getting 11 nights this summer. YEAH!!!!!!
