Can anyone tell me about their experiences using the Community Hall program at BLT? We had a quick look at it on our walk-through when we bought our points, but I'd be interested in hearing from people who have used the services - and more importantly, what your kids think of it.
thanks in advance

We only used it to check out DVDs. They had a VERY limited selection. The CM said that they have not had a chance to build up thier inventory yet. I personally thought that the CH itself was really small. It seemed like it was only about 1/2 the size of the ones at SSR & BWV.

When my ds and I went to borrow a DVD (and yup -- the selection is REALLY limited), there was one girl maybe around 10 or 11 doing a beading project with a CM. They were the only ones in there.

We poked around a little, just to see what they had to offer. It's a nice, cheerful place with lots of games (including a foosball table) and several computers. They also had ceramics projects sitting out that were adorable, and apparently they were only offered on Thursday after we'd be gone.

Being that my son is a teen, we'll probably only use it for DVDs in the future, but they really had quite a bit for younger kids.

When we stopped by there were 3 CM's playing board games with each other. Not a Guest to be seen.

My two DS (12) and DD (11) loved community hall. DS loved playing on the Wii (and beating his Dad  ) and DD & I really enjoyed the bead making. We thought community hall was a great place to drop into if you wanted to get out of the afternoon sun or for a while in the evening before heading out.

Ceramics are offered most morning between 10-12 according to the CM we saw there. We did that activity and had lots of fun. Our DS2 used to enjoy ceramics in school so we thought he might like to do a project. I think his father and I had more fun than he did. :rotfl:

Thanks - I think we'll be using it on an occasional basis, especially to escape the afternoon sun while DH and I relax. I'd forgotten about the DVD rentals - here's hoping the selection grows over the season. Thanks for the reminder!
