BLT check-in ?

It's been a while since we've directly checked into BLT, last couple of times it was second half of split stay. Does the ME leave you at BLT or do you still have to check in at Contemporary? Is there a bell service desk where we can leave our carry on items if room not ready?

I did online check in but went straight to BLT on arrival and it was cool.
