BLT booked reservations!!

I started calling at 8:59 on my cell, busy. I alternated hitting redial on the 800 number on home line in one hand direct # on cell in the other. connected at 9:22. About 20 minutes on hold. booked blt standard view 1 bedroom Dec 13-24, and ssr July 19-24 w/ develop points so got first choice. call ended 11:06. Karen was great

Woke up late, Fiance started calling at 0949. Got a busy signal for about 3 minutes, was on hold about 15-20 minutes. We got exactly what we wanted, lakeview studio Dec 28th to January 4th!

SO excited!

Looks like I'll be staying there at the same time as some of you!

What room/view did you get? 1 BR, Standard View

Was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability? Just what we wanted!!

When will you be going home? December 19-24, 2009.

...and any other info that you would like to share with BLT owners. We'll be at the Polynesian prior to this, and look forward to a monorail-based resort transfer (imagine it, from a WDW resort to a DVC hotel all via the monorail...now that's something new!)

Hello, everyone! We are new to DVC and are thrilled to have made our first reservation at BLT, for Nov. 21-17, a 2-bedroom with that wondrous MK view that we all prayed for! We had three phones dialing and were reserved and done in 14 minutes. I think we had a little pixie dust sprinkled our way!*** Super Happy Dance!

Thank goodness I have something to report on this thread. I was really getting concerned there.




How long were you on hold with MS? 2 hours and 5 minutes redialing. 25 minutes on hold...total time to book 2.5 hours ABSURD!

What room/view did you get? studio lake view (wanted MK view but wasn't avail for 1 night. I didn't want to risk it, so WL whole week MK view.
Was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability? yes, had to change view.
When will you be going home? 11/25-12/1

When will you be going home? 12/1/-12/2 (hopefully 11/25-12/2 total...we received a 2 BR incentive for 6 nights and they are still processing request)

I have breathed a 1/2 sigh of relief. I will feel confident once I see the incentive show up in the system.

Started on/off dialing around 10:50 am--got through @ 11:10 am. Was on hold around 20 minutes.

Booked a SV studio, for December 5th and 6th, at BLT. Just DH and me this trip so we are super excited (first trip alone in over 5 years!).

At 11:45 am, they still had all the views available too for the studios. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting!!! Here is lots of pixie dust!!!

Started dialing at 8:00am CST. Family @ home dialing on cell phones, six phones in all. Busy signal for about an hour, then on hold for around 20 minutes. Wanted a Grand Villa with MK view for 12/27 thru 1/2. No availability. Booked a Grand Villa with a lake view instead, and wait listed the for MK view. I never heard of "special" number for members with over 1000 points as I would have qualified for that. I'm disappointed that MK view was unavailable. CM told me that there are a total of 14 GV's @ BLT. Six with MK views and eight with LV views. My requested ressie with MK view was going to be 919 points. Hard to believe that all six MK view GV's would be gone by the time I got through. We gave it a good effort, now we will just wait for the results of the waitlist. We are disappointed though.

I got right through at 8:00 AM and was disconnected after hitting 1. During the next 2 hours and 40ish minutes the same thing happened 3 more times.

When I finally got through it was 25 mins on hold and I did get what I wanted, a LV Studio for Marathon weekend.

Started dialing at 9:00, got thru at 10:58 with two phones going nonstop on re-dial. On hold for 25 minutes and then got a really pleasant Cast Member who apologized several times for the slow computer. I was just glad to not be on re-dial any longer.

Wanted a MK view studio for Labor Day weekend and only got the Monday night. Decided take Bay lake view for Fri, Sat, Sun and wait listed for those three nights for the MK view--really don't expect those to come thru at all, but it never hurts to try.

I realize that this is opening weekend and all, but I really think that this will be the norm in trying to book BLT., making that 11-month window even more important.

I wanted BLT studio MK view for 12/29 -1/4 but MK view was gone and got Lake view instead.

We just got done making our reservations (we were on hold for 25 minutes). Wanted 1bd MK view for 9/17-9/21, but MK view was gone. I had my heart set on MK view for our first trip, so we splurged and got a dedicated 2bd MK view. I figure that's okay ... this will likely be our last big trip with our son before he graduates from high school (except for that free cruise next year!) so it'll be nice for him to have his own bed rather than a sofabed. Plus, I'm hoping to have our niece and nephew spend at least one night with us, so it will be nice to have the extra room there, too.

It is just what we were hoping for & we are thrilled
Started calling at 9 & kept hitting redial for 45 minutes straight. On hold for 20 minutes exactly & the CM was so sweet

We started calling at 9am and finally got through at 10:30. My sister waited on hold for 20 minutes. Our reservationist had compuiter problems and had to call us back. Ten minutes later she called back with our confirmation for a one bedroom MK view Oct. 29-Nov. 5.

Unfortunately as we were running errands later in the morning something started to feel wrong about the point totals we had been told when we were called back. We checked as soon as we got home and saw we had been booked in a lake view. Not what we wanted, if we didn't get MK we wanted standard to save points. My sister called back and waited on hold for half an hour. New reservationist listened and then she put us on hold while she researched. She told us that MK view was never available at the time of our call but we would be put on waitlist for MK view. We don't know how this happened since the first CM even had us drop a day off our trip since were 2 points short for the MK view on our original dates. I am wondering if they can go back and listen to recordings of the original call because she apologized about the mis-information.

I doubt that all 6 mk view gv's have been released for points yet especially holiday week, because I'm sure they aren't even close to selling out points yet. They will keep "inventory" for cash reservations only until the points are sold.
