Currently only runs to the MK and back. The boat between CR, WL & FW has not yet resumed service.

Actually, that boat route never came back after the pandemic.

We miss it too. Too us, it's not worth it to have to go to MK for the large boat to go to trails end.

Hi again, can you confirm that it still stops at CR from WL & FW? Last year we took the boat from MK dock to WL and we took the boat from WL to CR on our return trip. Can we still do that?

As far as I know, there is no boat to the Contemporary at all; not since before the COVID-19 shutdown.

OK thanks. This past Jan 2022 we were able to get the boat at WL and get off at the CR boat dock. I guess it will be a wait and see unless someone else knows.

Maybe but we weren't the only ones getting off. Maybe it was some special pixie dust? I hope it happens again in Jan 2023.

There's a pretty standard practice for early morning resort breakfast reservations: you get on a bus that takes you near the resort and ask the bus driver how to get there. More often than not, they'll offer to drop you off. I bet that's what happened.

As others have mentioned, the dedicated boat that used to go between WL / CR / FW has not returned since the 2020 closure. There are only boats going back and forth to MK from those resorts. However, we have occasionally been on a boat that was going from MK back to both WL and FW. I think depending on crowds, they sometimes share boats. I've never been on one that shared between WL and CR, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen occasionally. Still, it is nothing you can expect or count on.

Now what DOES happen on regular basis is that WL and CR share busses. The HS, DS and AK busses seem to be running on a WL =>CR=>HS (or DS or AK)=>WL route. And the EP bus usually shared with FW going WL=>FW=>EP=>WL. So if you know the route, you can use that to go between hotels - but always confirm with the driver. We've taken a HS bus from WL to CR, for example. Getting back would be a long ride though.

You know, I honestly have no idea. We've only stayed there once (back in Sep) and we always walked to MK. I guess I was just thinking that all of the MK resorts have boat service, but that may not be true for CR. Sorry for the confusion!

No and I don’t ever remember a time when they did. It was always walk or monorail. Boat service was only the CR, WL, and FW loop.

Have to take boat launch from MK. Went to HDDR in November and overheard a deck hand explaining that the boat service cost is shared by the reorts and the Contemporary doesn’t want to participate in the cost, so no drop off on the WL and FW routes. Sort of makes sense with the short walk to MK…
