Perhaps there's been a thread (or more than one) but I didn't see it so I'll ask. Now that there are several months of data, how have people found trying to book BLT at the 7 month mark? Easier/harder than BCV, BWV and the other in-demand resorts? Thanks.

The last that I read, DVD has only declared 50% of the resort available for DVC Members. The other 50%, Disney is using for cash Guests. If Disney is making more money with cash Guests, it may be awhile before they declare additional units.

This greatly limits the availability.

I just called last week for a studio for 6 nights for March 21-27. They had all six nights available for the Lagoon View and the Standard View. We would have had to waitlist for 2 of the six nights for the Magic Kingdom view (the Monday and Wednesday I believe), but the other 4 nights were available.

We chose not to stay there this trip, though, when I read about how small the studios are compared to the other resorts. Since it will be our first stay in a studio with all four of us (myself, DH, DD6, DD5), we decided to stay at BCV again (and no waitlisting was necessary there either).

I have read that there has been some good success. I also think that as people continue to stay and report on views, etc., there will be an adjustment in what BLT owners book and what is available for others.

But, all in all, except for maybe December, I think that getting rooms at BLT will not be that difficult at the 7 month window. Personally, I think that the ones that will be the hardest will be SV, even harder to get than MK view.

I called at exactly 7 mos. and got a LV studio for 5 nights, starting 2/25/10. There was Standard View available, but not MKV.

I also suspect that as time goes on, the views will "readjust" with respect to what's available. MKV may actually become more available at 7 mos. sometime in the future.

We booked our second BLT trip today. 2/28 - 3/5. Was able to get LV Stuido for all the days. Originally tried to get ST Studio but there were gaps. Now I have never stayed in a studio so we will see how this goes. But wanted to be on the monorail becasue this will also be the first trip with no car.

I booked about 2 weeks ago for a Studio with a Lake View for Jan. 22-23rd --- I wanted it for additional nights and for a Magic Kingdom view, but was told that was the only nights available together from Jan. 15-31st ?? However, I checked earlier tonight and I could book straight through Disney (Obviously paying Cash if Your a DVC member) for a Magic Kingdom view Studio ... So the availability must be split like someone else said between Cash rooms and DVC rooms. With more availability for Cash rooms, probably because they cost so much! Somewhere in the neighborhood of $450 + a Night!! Not too many people can afford that these days at least!

Also, I saw some pictures on another thread of someone that had a Standard view that had a great view of Magic Kingdom --- There was a lot of the parking lot in their pictures, but still some great shots of the Castle during the Firework show with a Standard view --- Just for consideration when booking.

with the economy like it is - it will be probably around 3 years - before blt reaches it limit.

so if you want to go - now and next year would be a great time.

I called 7 months out and made a ressie for a 1BR Jan. 7-12, marathon weekend. Our room is BLV, but I believe SV was also available. There were no MKV's.

I was able to book a standard view studio for 3/18-3/25 at exactly 7 months.

Anyone have any luck with MK view?

I called at 7 months for Feb 6-14. LV,SV were both available. MKV was only open on Friday and Saturday. (studios) we took LV!!

At exactly 7 mths, I was able to book 14 nights for Bay Lake views. Standard views and MK views were not available for 14 consecutive nights. And I found that more of the MK views were available than Standard.
