BLT and 2 Rooms

Planning for a trip in 2017 and will need 2 rooms at the BLT. If I get 2 studios (instead of a 2 bdrm), what are the odds I'll get them side by side? Do they take/honor those requests?

There are no connecting studios at BLT. They might be nearby.

I would recommend a 2BR over 2 studios. You're guaranteed to be together, and it is far larger.

This LINK is a search showing all studio rooms at BLT. The odd number rooms are on the inside of the horseshoe and the even numbers are on the outside. You can infer from the numbers that some are close to one another. But none of them actually connect, and they can often be combined with the 1 bedroom suite next to it to make a 2 bedroom lock off room. They will take your request into consideration, but a request is just that, a request. Going between floors at BLT can be a pain via the location of the stairs and the elevators. It would be a pain to have one room on floor 14 facing north towards the magic kingdom, and the other on floor 3 facing south towards Wilderness Lodge.

So you can get 2 studios side by side (assuming they can fit your request) but they will not be connecting. A 2-bedroom lockoff on the other hand would include a studio and 1-bedroom that are connected but can also be closed off from each other if privacy is needed. Plus you will get a full living area in between the bedrooms and 3 bathrooms instead of 2.

I would get a 2BR - we almost always stay in a 2BR at BLT and they are great. We're having friends travel with us and they are taking the second bedroom - it's a win/win for everyone. They're thrilled that they're getting a full bedroom, full bath, and private balcony - we'll be in the Master and my kids will be on the pullout with the use of the full bath off the foyer. It's a great layout.
