Rumors are just that... random thoughts from people passing through these boards. Resales are not hurting DVC sales, they are still very strong considering the market and resales are needed as Disney doesn't want to spend money and resources repurchasing contracts. They are happy collecting MF's on ll existing contracts. This is evident by Disney only ROFRing contracts they have waiting lists of buyers.

I for one would have never became a DVC member at the current direct prices, but at half the price, I couldn't restist to do so. People like me fill a needed gap that continue the MF revenue to Disney.

I agree rumors are just rumors.

However I will that resales have no impact on DVC sales.

If resales had no impact on DVD's sales of DVC points, why did DVD introduce restrictions on resale purchases earlier this year?

During presentations, all it takes is one person to point out they can buy resale for half the price and others at the presentation will walk away.
