BLT 2 Bedroom Standard View

Does anyone know how many of these units there are? We are hoping to be able to book one for the beginning of July, 2011 (11 months out) Anyone have any experience with getting this type of room?

I believe they have 8 dedicated 2br that are standard view and have about 26 lockoffs, with about 3/4 of these available for members to book. I was able to get a 2br dedicated reserved for March 2011. I called at exactly 11 months. The agent I made the reservation with said there were a couple of other dedicated rooms available and more lockoffs available.

Based on my experience, you should be fine if you call at exactly 11 months.

The BLT dedicated 2 BR has only one door for entering/exiting the villa. Everything is set up as a condo style apartment with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room and kitchen.

I believe these rooms are on the first or second floor of the resort. I called exactly 11 months out and got a dedicated 2 bedroom standard for Oct. 31 for 4 nights. I was nervous, esp. since I was only calling for 4 nights. I've stayed in a 1 bedroom LV, but this will be my first 2 bedroom/standard stay.

They do have only 1 entry door from the hallway, but there is a door that separates the 2nd bedroom (which would be a studio in a lock-off unit) from the living area.

I called at exactly 11 months out, right at 9am, and was not able to get a 2BR Standard for August of 2010. I am in a 2 BR Lakeview, and have been on the waitlist for standard since September of 2009.

At least some of the standard view rooms ( I would assume based on being on the first floor) are actually in use by DVC for office while the are working on selling BLT- when I went to the BLT afternoon event last month we toured a 2 bedroom accomidation on the first floor and there was a 2-bedroom and another room (I don't know the size as I wasn't in there) that were set up for meeting with guides.

I called at exactly 9am at my 11 month mark for a standard 2 bdrm and the CM said yes they had it and by the time she went to book it, it was gone and I had to take Lakeview. This, of course was for December so a very busy time for DVC. Our waitlist did come through a few months later so we are happy!

If you want any chance, I would think you would need to call at 9am at 11 months out.

We got a 2BR not long after BLT opened... if you go to the link provided above you can see a few pictures of my view. There's not many standard 2BRs avail, we had a dedicated one and loved it! I am going to try my hand on a std studio coming up for Sept 2011.

I got the last 2 bedroom lockoff when I called right at 9am at 11 months for this coming December. We did have a standard view studio this past December and we had a perfect view of the monorail entering/leaving the Contemporary which my little guys thought was the coolest thing ever!! We also had a great view of MK (and of course the parking lot - it is right there after all ) I will always try to book standard if available!

I wanted 8 nights, so I waited until the second day to call to book it all at once. I received a dedicated 2 BR Standard View the day after our 11 month window opened for next May (May 27th through June 4th 2011). The agent did say there was still one available after ours.

I guess I won't be waiting a day in the future to book at the 11 month window.

Question: If I hadn't received a dedicated 2BR standard view, could I have received a std view lockout? I would have been fine with that.
