Kim Possible looks like fun!

2 days til Germany!!! I hope you are ready!! :goodvibes

Wow! I can't believe you leave for Germany in 2 days!!!

The Kim Possible thing looks like fun. But, I'd be mad if someone was also doing it ahead of me and found the thing before I did.

Hooray, you're on your way to Deutschland! (Or there already!) Bring us back lots of pictures and, um... spatzle or something! :rotfl:

Have fun and remember to say Bitte (Bit-ta which is please) and Danke (Donk-ka Thank you). :goodvibes I can't remember how to say your welcome though.

I saw some of your pics on facebook. So cool!

Welcome home! I would love to see your Germany pictures. I hope you had a wonderful trip to Europe!

So after dropping off my "kimmunicator" I headed off around the world just taking in the sights and smells. I made it to over to the international gateway and decided to get on the boat. The weather was beautiful and I was in the mood to just relax. So a nice boatride over to the studios was just what I was in the mood for.

The famous Jellyrolls... (I still have yet to check this place out. Hopefully in the future!)
ry%3D400

When I got to the studios I decided I wanted to head over to Downtown Disney to see if the balloon was up. I hopped on the closest resort bus (I don't even remember which one I went to) and switched to the DTD bus from there. When I got to DTD I headed right to the characters in flight balloon and of course it was down. I guess it was too windy for the balloon to fly. Since it was down I decided to just walk around since I had dinner reservations at Saratoga springs at 5:15.

ry%3D400

After some walking and people watching the weather started to turn for the worse...real fast! The sky turned real dark and the wind was really blowing. I was really hoping it was going to be just a quick thunderstorm since I wanted to see wishes later in the night. I headed over to the westside bus stops to catch a bus over to Saratoga Springs (SSR). It was still a little early but I figured I could explore the resort a bit since I had never been there before. As soon as the SSR bus pulled up the sky opened up and it started to pour buckets.
ry%3D400

When I made it to SSR it was still pouring buckets so there wasn't too much exploring to be had. My main goal was to get over to the Turf club with out being soaked. At the covered bus stop I dawned my poncho and then headed off to find the turf club. It took me about 10-15 minutes in and out of covering to find the place. When I got there I decided to hang outside the resort lobby and just watch the rain hoping it would clear. I'm not even kidding when I say this but 5 minutes later it started to hail! Full on marble sized hail...in FL! Some of the resort CM's actually came outside to see it! The hail was boucing all over the place so I figured it would be safer to head inside. So thats exactly what I did and found a nice cozy seat over by the DVC booth. When It was about 5 I headed down the hall to the Turf club to check in.
ry%3D400

All down the hall are Jockey jackets since that seemed to be the theme. I thought this one was really cute...
ry%3D400

I was seated right away at a 2 person table overlooking the outside deck.
Sorry it's blurry...
ry%3D400

My meal here was nothing too exciting. It was good but not great, I kind of wished I planned something at one of the parks or at the Poly. Anyway it had stopped raining during my meal and I was excited that I would be able to see wishes. But when I went to pay for my meal the sky opened again and started to rain. UGH! After dinner I took the bus back to DTD and let me say SSR is HUGE! We must of made 4 or 5 other stops to pick up guests at the resort. When I made it to DTD it was still pouring. I went into Goofy's candy co to make a treat using one of my snack credits. I talked to one of the CM's in there and they said the rain was here to stay for the night. My plans to see wishes were out the window. I decided then to head back to the resort and call it a night. Now I usually don't give up in the rain but it was just pouring too much and I wasn't in the mood to fight the rain.

I caught the next bus back to Pop. When I got to my room there was a suprise waiting for me on my table.
A mickey birthday card, a couple towel animals and a big bag.
ry%3D400

When I opened the bag I discovered it was a cake!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

It even had Mickey's on the side...
ry%3D400

A quick call home and I found that my parents had ordered it for me! I was really suprised and happy. It was really thoughtful of them to call and do that for me.

I spent the rest of my night eating a slice of cake and watching the American Idol season finale (night 1). Not exactly the perfect birthday night ending I wanted but it was still nice none the less!

Up next day 3!

Great update! Looks like you had a good start to your day at Epcot. Thanks for the information on the Kim Possible stuff. I can't wait to try that when we go...I don't care if it's for kids or not, I am doing it!

It really is fun! I think you will enjoy it!

It totally is!

Wow! I can't believe you leave for Germany in 2 days!!!

The Kim Possible thing looks like fun. But, I'd be mad if someone was also doing it ahead of me and found the thing before I did.

That was the only problem. But it seemed to me that some people were getting other clues too that I wasn't getting.

Hooray, you're on your way to Deutschland! (Or there already!) Bring us back lots of pictures and, um... spatzle or something! :rotfl:

I'm gonna post a link to my Facebook album so you can check out the pics!

Have fun and remember to say Bitte (Bit-ta which is please) and Danke (Donk-ka Thank you). :goodvibes I can't remember how to say your welcome though.

Oh man I went there not knowing more than 2 words (good morning and goodbye) now I'll say I know quite a bit!

I swore I had subbed to this awhile ago! :( I'm in now! So far sounds like you had an amazing time!

I see you have a TR too! Man I'm so behind. I'll have to check out yours too!

Glad to hear you had such a good time in Germany! I'm going to look at your pictures on facebook right now! :thumbsup2

It was a blast!

Your pictures are great! Seems like you had an amazing time...is that Mittenwald in some of the photos?

Welcome home!! I'll go check out your Germany pics.

That cake looks yummy! What flavor was it? That was so thoughtful of your parents. What was in the bag?

hail?!

So sad that you missed Wishes on your birthday. :sad1:

Just started looking at your Germany pictures! They are so beautiful. I think I'm in the wrong profession, I need a job that either pays more or involves TONS of travel! :lmao: There are so many more places I want to go!

Aww, what a sweet surprise (literally!) for your birthday!

SSR is huge. There are 5 different areas and with each one having its own bus stop...it's kinda crazy! But I love it there. :goodvibes

Ohh sorry I guess I didn't explain it too well. The cake was in the bag. It was chocolate/chocolate. Really good...specially with milk from the food court!

I was kind of bummed too that I missed them too. But you can't fight mother nature.

I think I'm in the wrong profession too. How about a job that sends you to all these places AND pays a lot?! If you find a job like that will you let me know? :lmao:

I was totally suprised! It was so nice of them to do that.

SSR is WAY huge! I was shocked at how big it really is. I will say that's a very beautiful though!

Mittenwald was my favorite town that we stayed in! I recognized one of the paintings on one fo the houses. :)

Day 3-AK and Typhoon lagoon

I woke up the next morning excited to head out to the Animal Kingdom. Looking out my window the sky was blue and the sun was out...looks like a perfect day! I got ready and headed out to the busses. I believe I waited about 15 minutes before a bus came.

When I made it to the AK it was already turning out to be a hot morning. I made it a little after rope drop so other guests were already heading into the park.
ry%3D400

My first stop was to head to Asia and ride EE since it was down my last trip.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

The line was posted at 15min standby but it seemed less than that. I love the details in the queue line for this ride.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Soon it was my time to ride. I was seated in the middle of the train and we were off to find the yeti.
ry%3D400

View of the tree of life...
ry%3D400

Oh no...look what the yeti did...
ry%3D400

Down we go...
ry%3D400

Now after riding I always feel like I left my stomach at the top. And yes I will admit I still scream just a little bit on this ride. I just can't help it.

Anyway after getting on I jumped in the single rider line and rode 4 more times! :woohoo:

After my EE adventures I headed over to the safari. On my way look who I found...
ry%3D400
Devine! Shes just so beautiful and graceful. I love standing back and listening to kids ask what/who she is.

When I made it over to the safari the wait time was posted at 50 minutes! As long as it was I was hoping the line would move faster. Well....it didn't. It was getting hot and muggy out so I could't wait to get on the ride and get moving. Well after almost an hr it was safari time!
I took tons of animal pictures so I will try not to bore you and only post a few.

The driver was really great! One of the best that I've had at this attraction! He was just so into his character and was really excited when the kids spotted the animals.

After the safari I decided it was too hot out so I was going to head back to Pop for a quick lunch then after change and head over to Typhoon lagoon for the afternoon.

So that's exactly what I did.
Here are some pictures from my balcony at Pop.

After changing and dropping some stuff off in the room I was off to typhoon lagoon. (sorry no pics from TL I left the camera in the room)

When I got to the park there were quite a few people heading in.

My first stop was getting a locker rental for my towel/shoes and clothes. I know it's Disney but I just hate leaving my stuff around. After getting my locker I headed over to the wave pool. Now this was the biggest wave pool I've been in and it was tons of fun! Those waves can carry you pretty far!

Next stop was the lazy river. I must of went around I don't know how many times. It's so relaxing! The next thing I knew the lifeguards were telling us if there was a ride we wanted to see we better do it now because there were storms coming and they will be closing down at the sight of lightning. Ugh! (it acually was ok because TL was going to close in an hr anyway) The sky was getting dark and I decided to just go and change and head back to pop and drop off my bathing suit and head to the MK. I'm glad I did because as soon as I made it on the bus to pop it started to pour! I made it back to my room picked up my park bag and headed out to the bus. At this time the storm had passed!!!

Up next-short visit to the MK and meeting up with a fellow Diser!

Great update! You sure are brave to take pictures on EE, I'd be afraid I'd drop my camera! Oh, and you are not the only one who screams on that ride. ;)

We went to TL once years ago and I remember the wave pool being pretty fun.
