Ran this yesterday, great weather!!! It was mid 50's at the start of the race and ending with mid 60's. There was a warning at the 5th mile water stop that they had run out of water on the 6.5 mile water stop, so that concerned me. Got to the next water stop but they had restocked the water by then (thankfully, it was getting hot)

Here's my times:
Suzann
Finish Time: 1:21:01
Overall Place: 10,218 out of 42,697
Ran with a pace of 10:51 per mile
The average pace for 27-year-olds was 14:01

If anyone else did the race, would love to know your thoughts on it and how you did!!

Good job, Suzann! I was working in Spokane a couple of weeks ago, and would have loved to have done that race, but didn't stay up there that long!

Sounds like a cool event.
Though I am laughing about how hot it got for you ;) 60s sounds nice and comfy for running if you're from the South! :lmao:

WOW! That is a large event. 42,000 people.

Congratulations, you did good! Yea, ending in the mid 60's. I can't remember the last time we were down in the mid 60's.

I was there! It was my daughter's and my 3rd Bloomsday. This year, I decided to take DH and all 4 kids. BIG mistake. My youngest two (10 & 7) were just not ready for that distance. My oldest two kids, 15 & 12, finished in 2:55, but the rest of us had to stop for every porta potty, every otter pop stand and every sprinkler. I was dying from walking so slowly. We finished in an embarrassing 3:36. There were only 60 people or so behind us.

DH had to run to catch the last bus to get our car (at the Valley Mall) and we nearly didn't get shirts.

I am really proud of my kids for getting out there and finishing, though. Next year, it probably just be the older kids and myself. I would love to finish in under 2 hours someday.

It was so beautiful out. Perfect weather.

Laughing at the warm comment :goodvibes
We've had a cold winter here in the northwest, so this was the first real 'warm' day we've had. (It snowed 10 inches just a couple weeks ago)

Large event indeed, felt like I was dodging and weaving for most of the race, even at the finish!

Oh man, I could only imagine! I thought it was funny that they were selling otter pops, ice cream bars and sno cones! Did you at least get to hang out for the after race festivities?
