OMG, my son was involved in a transaction with her tonight.

She asked him to trade his invisibility and put up tons and tons of furniture, gold ears, black ears, and sky way pin. Then he relized he was wearing the pin, so he told her and exited out. Then he couldn't remember who he was trading with. He tried to find her, but before he could, the owner of the room asked him to trade and when he declined he was booted.

He was so upset. Finally he went into another trade room, and a few minutes later a girl comes in, he sees her name and clothes and says, that's her. They start to trade again. Again, she puts all that stuff up, he puts up his pin, clicks accept and then...




gets the message VMK is closed and he is logged out. He was so upset again. He didn't know if she accepted or not. He was too excited to go to bed. He wrote her name down so he could find her tommorrow in case the trade didn't go through. I hope he didn't get scammed out of the pin somehow. Poor guy. I was sitting next to him during all this and nothing seemed off. The deal seemed too good to be true, but she wasn't removing anything, just kept adding and adding.

If the deal didn't go through, then I'm going to tell him not to attempt the trade again. If he lost his pin, I will work at Pirates and earn him another. I have earned one, recieve one in trade (both of which I have since traded) and have another character almost to the end of third level, so I can get him another.

I'm glad I thought to search for blondkaty and found this thread. I was searching to see if she was a poster here.

I hope VMK would just ban her already. But then, what wold stop her from doing it with another character she creates. I guess all you can do is watch out. I don't trade with anyone I don't know for that reason.

If it is really valuable I think that I would try to make a trade with Dis People first even if it mean getting a little less. Getting less is a whole lot better than getting nothing because you have been scammed.

MaliaMichelle, I really would advise against trading with her. What she did with your son was similar to how she stole Sean's things. She is very dishonest.

I'm curious ... how does the scam work? Not that I would want to do it! I was a VMK player from the first day, but I have not been in the game for weeks. I just want to know what to look out for.

Just checked my sons things. The trade didn't go through. Either she didn't accept, or VMK closed in time. Regardless, he still has his invisibility.

I was so worried last night. I don't care if I get scammed, I'm a big girl, but I don't want him scammed. Especially when I was sitting right next to him and didn't catch it.


I did some thinking about how she was trying to scam him, offering gold ears, black ears, skyway pin and all the furniture. This is what I came up with. She entered some furniture than an ear, then furniture, ear, pin the furniture. By the time she was done, the ears and pin had scrolled off the screen. She could have removed the ears and pin as she was putting the other furniture down and in the confusion he probably wouldn't have noticed, me either for that matter.

So, if you are trading with someone, see them put what you want in the box, and then they add a bunch more, double check that the special items you want are still there before accepting. I have no idea if this is really what she was doing, but it's the only reason I can think of why she would offer so much just for invisibility. Oh, and he won't be trading with her if she asks again.

She tried to scam me once. She is very quick at clicking items and can confuse you. I almost lost my whole princess costume to her. She was willing to trade a whole lot of furniture, pins etc.

She does have her own trade room. I do not believe she scams people in her own room. (I don't remember the name of her room). When she has it open it is almost always full. I go into the guest rooms and do a search for her name, thats how I find her.

What I do not understand, is why would she scam people in her main character name. Not the brightest burner on the stove.

Blondkaty followed me through vmk(she was on my buddy list ) and asking to have my retro pin.....i said no.....i didn't know what a retro pin was then it hit me.. she wanted my people mover...i said no and went out of the room. and took her off my buddy list

OK, so she offers a lot of items in trade, but keeps on changing which items she is offering so you never know exactly what you are getting. She'll scroll a lot of GOOD stuff off the page and then remove it because you can't see it easily. What a cheat. Multiple people have complained and VMK won't do anything about it because the items have already been sold/traded? It's like saying that you can't throw a burglar in jail because the pawn shop already sold your stolen stuff.

To solve this problem, VMK needs a verification screen with all the items up for trade so you can be sure of what you are trading for.
