Hi all! I need to get a blockout ticket for the first day of my upcoming Disney trip, Saturday the 4th. My bf already will already have his ticket for the day, so I really hate for us to have to waste time in the long ticket lines instead of getting right to the parks once we check into the Grand Californian. Do any of you know if there is any way to purchase a blockout ticket online, at the hotel, or anywhere other than going to the main ticket booths? If not, do you know where I could find a discounted 1-day park hopper? If it's not too much more than the $50 blockout ticket, it might be worth me just buying a ticket for that day to save time. I would love your thoughts, thanks!!

I can tell you that you cannot buy them online, nor can you find a discounted one-day parkhopper for close to $50. As you probably know, they are $101 and one-day tickets are almost never discounted.

The one thing I'm not sure about is whether or not you can buy a blockout ticket at the hotel or at the ticket booth the day before. Might be worth just calling to ask.

Last summer we needed to buy a blockout ticket. We were staying at the Disneyland hotel and bought it at the front desk of the hotel. Unless they have changed this, you should be able to purchase directly from the hotel front desk.

Thanks for all your feedback! When I called the Grand Californian, the reservationist said we can't purchase them at the front desk- bummer! I wonder if I could walk over to Disneyland Hotel to buy if that hotel is still selling blockout tickets? I hate to waste a chunk of the valuable morning waiting in those long ticket lines!

I'd call Disneyland Hotel. If GCH isn't selling them, I doubt DLH still is.

The reservationist on the phone is most likely not working AT the hotel, but at a call center.
