What does a blockout date mean? We are going on July 1 and 2. July 2 is a blockout date.

What does that mean - and how will that affect our crowds?

Sorry if this is a dumb question....:confused3

Block-out days mean that some passes aren't valid.
If someone has a Deluxe or any of the California annual passes, they cannot go on this day.

There are different days for different passes, the cheaper the pass, the more days are blocked. The Premium pass has no blocked days.

Some other passes may have days blocked. These days are usually insanely crowded with regular ticket holders so they block annual passes to keep the numbers lower.

Even when we don't have annual passes, we try to avoid days that are blocked for Deluxe passes because those days are very busy.

Good Luck!

When crowds are big some AP holders are Blocked out. For your dates it's going to be very busy, so they are blocking all AP holders. It will still be very busy.

It means the 1st will be busy and the 2nd won't ~ I was there last 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th of July - most APs were blocked and we had a fantastic time, between fast passes and knowing how to do the parks we didn't wait for anything.
