Blockbuster Video

I didn't realize how expensive Blockbuster was until I moved to NYC and had to start paying for it myself. :p

The rewards program has worked out for us...it seems like we always get a free rental. They are letting you rent movies and games for a week now. My daughter donated one dollar over the summer to some charity, and she got to rent a free non new release movie every day till like Sept. She enjoyed that. I just bought her the best of schoolhouse rock from there, and it was by far the cheapest I'd seen. Oh, yeah, its also right around the corner from our house!;)

I hate Blockbuster... with tax it's around $4.00 to rent a new-release video in my area. I have a Hollywood Video membership, but DH thinks that Blockbuster is better for some reason so he doesn't go to Hwood. I'm going to have to start renting the movies around here!

Our Blockbuster new release rentals are $4.49:mad: !!

The only reason I've even gone in there recently is for the Monsters, Inc. deal. Once I use up the 10 free ones, I probably won't be back.

The reasons listed above are the reason we hardly EVER go to Blockbuster...but right now, where I live,it's the ONLY choice.Well, unless you want to go to Cheff Jeff's Pizza/Video rental and rent movies that are in such horrible condition you feel like Chef Jeff oughta be paying YOU to rent them instead of the other way around.
We do occasionally rent Playstation games from there, like a few weeks ago when we rented Monsters Inc:Scare Island. It's advertised as a kid's game but BOY was it hard!It took DH and I six hours(combined...over a two day period)to beat it but it was worth it because it was so dang funny we kept cracking up,which I'm sure cost us valuable time.:)

BLOCKBUSTER SUCKS!
Can you say it with me now?;)

We haven't gone back to Blockbuster in months. We have been renting from Drug Mart. All new releases are $1.99.

We should technically own Blockbuster with all the late fees we've paid over the years! But I'm not going to complain too much now since Chris works there and we get 5 free rentals a week and we also have a Rewards Card. So we dont mind paying a late fee here and there since we rent so many movies.

Yes they are expensive but I love the DVD choices they have there.
