My son will be a few weeks shy of turning 3 yrs old when we visit WDW. I have never gone to the water parks and was wondering if Blizzard Beach is something we should definately try with our DS. Will he be too young to enjoy it? We will be staying at the Poly which has a great pool, so I am thinking we may just want to spend the time at the hotel pool instead. I have horrible visions of tons of people splashing around while I chase my son through this huge water park :) We will be there in Sept, so hopefully the crowds will be light?? Anyone have any suggestions?

As always, thank you all for your invaluable advice

I will also be there with my son (who turns 3 on 11/16) and husband in September!

We have been to Blizzard Beach but before my son was born.

There is a separate area for kids called Tike's Peak but I don't remember it well enough to gauge whether it's for a 2 year old or not. I seem to remember my niece (who was 3 at the time) loving it but not much frightens her!

You may be safe though going in September since the water parks shouldn't be as crowded as say, mid-July!

Good luck and have a great time!

Both of the water parks have a "toddler" area that I have never used but as best as I recall could be fun. The problem is You won't be able to do any of the Fun stuff! LOL! MY DD was 4 the first year we went and the toddler area was too low key for her.
Don't plan on sitting and watching him though. You'll be on your feet to keep track of him. If you have UPH, I'd go for it.

We took my son last year when he had just turned 2 and we had a blast. He loved it. They have a great younger kid area & they dont let anyone over 5(I think) in there so you dont have to worry about him getting run over by a bunch of 10 yo. They have some small slides he can do by himself, a couple you can do with him, a great shallow pool with fountains and a sand area to play in. They also have a family raft ride that is awesome. 6 of you can sit in a raft and go down the slide. We did that 3 times. I just had him sit next to DH so he could hold on to him. There is also the lazy river. And they have plenty of shaded chairs to take a break from the sun(if you get there early) I would definately recommend it!

We have done BB twice with my DD now 3 and she has a blast and always wants to go back. The kids area is great and I am sure if he likes water then he will have fun. We plan on taking my nieces this time (5 & 1). They are very much looking forward to it after seeing our videos and our pictures.
