We really prefer TL for it's lush tropical environment. Plus they just added the Crush 'n Gusher there which looks like lots of fun. We took our 8yr old nephew there a while ago, and he really had a great time. He almost went into the shark reef with us but chickened out at the last minute.
BB is definitely more of a "thrill" park if that is what they are into, with faster/steeper slides.
DD was 5 when we went and we did BB twice we loved it so much. I have been to TL but not with the kids and I thought BB had tons for the kids to do. Both are super fun - do you want to swim with an island kind of theme or a wintery kidn of theme - that's really all you need to worry about. Both are fantastic!!
Thank you for the input. I guess it decides what kind of mood we'll be in that day. They both sound great. I wonder if I could get my boys into the shark reef?
I am the only one who will go in the Shark Reef!! DH said the water was too cold (it is pretty cold!!) and the water is super salty (he was just chicken)!
TL has a new cool water slide roller coaster too now that little kids can handle. It actually goes up and down - we've rode one similar at Wilderness Lodge.
BB has an entire area for kids their age. It is center to everything. Makes going and coming very easy. We have been to both several times and we love BB. There is a lot more stairs at TL and the family raft ride is a lot shorter that the one at BB> BB gets my vote.
