We will be at WDW 9/16-9/23 and will be visiting a water park. We took our 3 kids (ages 14 and twins 11) to TL last year and they loved it particularly the wave pool and Crush and Gusher. Can anyone tell me how the wave pool at BB compares? And what other attractions that make BB worthwhile? Thanks!

Wave pool at BB is lame compared to TL.

BB has Summit Plummet which is the ultimate thrill slide.

BB has some great slides, especially Teamboat Springs and the Slush Gusher.

Overall, TL always wins for me. :sunny:

We went to both last month... I didn't get in the wave pool...but BB has some great slides! I like BB much better. Summit Plummit is a must! the family raft ride is awesome. they have tons of body slides and raft rides. I think there is much more to do at BB but that's just my .02!

I like TL, but my kids really like BB. I asked them why they like BB and it's b/c of the kids Ski Patrol area. Apparently, it's an area that is just for kids/tweens with smaller water slides and a large pool that they cross by holding onto a net over their head and stepping from one "floating ice chunk" to another. :confused3

The "wave" pool at BB is more a bobbing pool. We love both waterparks, but prefer the slides at BB. We especially like Downhill Racers - a mat slide where 8 people line up across and race straight down a rolling hill slide. The family raft ride seems better than TL's, too. Have fun whichever you do!

Our family prefers the wave pool at BB, because the waves are continuous, even though they are smaller. We tend to get bored in TL's wave pool, waiting around for that one huge wave which only comes every so often. The family raft ride at TL is a joke compared to BB's, which is much, much longer, and you don't have to carry your own raft up for it, and you can ride the chair lift up, which is easier on the legs.

You can look here for more info about BB.

Of course, both water parks are a blast. Our family preferred BB, but we have smaller kids, and preferred the kids' areas at BB, even though the BB seems to have more "thrilling" slides than TL, as well. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Hmmm...BB or TL? ....That's a tough question for my family.

We can never decide which we like more, so we always do both at least twice during our trips (except when we went in Jan. because then only BB was open). When we went in May for 9 days, we had the WATER PARKS FUN & MORE OPTION and that allowed us 6 visits to the water parks.

Been to BB several times and TL for the first this summer. I think for little ones (under 6) TL is better. For pure water slide fun you can't beat BB. They have some awesome slides.

We have enjoyed both parks, but my kids (ages 11, 10, and 5) have said repeatedly that they preferred BB. They lived the ski patrol area, and the older two and dad all said the number and variety of slides is better at BB. I personally loved the atmosphere at TL,a nd we will again visit both parks on our next trip in September. Happy planning :-)

We loved both water parks, I agree that BB has some bigger and better water slides if that is what your kids like. The young childrens area was better. But we prefer the wave pool at TL and my son likes to swim with the sharks. It all depends on what your children like the most. I wish I was there, relaxing in the lazy river (my favorite thing at either water park) Have Fun!!!

If you are looking just for a wave pool then go to TL. If you want great slides and a lot of variety then go to BB. At BB you don;t have to carry your own slides or tubes--well not as nearly as much as TL. To me the only reason to go to TL is the shark reef, wave pool, and slush-n-gusher. For everything else go to BB.

We'll be visiting WDW in late Oct. I'm wondering if we should add water parks to our Hopper. My 8 yr. old son is an excellent swimmer and wants to try Summit Plummet. Looks a little dangerous to me. Any advice????

I would pick TL all the way (having been to both)

I like the shark swim, and the look of TL better. :thumbsup2
I agree the shark swim is fab, but when we were there we queued for about an hour and i'm not sure it was worth that. Personally i love TL as it has more moderate rides, if you like the bigger rides i would head to BB. Love both, but find TL more relaxing.

I agree, we love BB for the exciting mayham, slides, tubes and the family raft ride. Love TL for the landscaping the WONDERFUL lazy river, shark reef and the comparatively mild tube rides.

Typhoon>Blizzard for me.

TL has the suporiur wave pool, lazy river, some wicked slides, and shark reefs.

BB has Summit Plummet which is worth going just to do this, but overall I'd go with TL.

Summit Plummet is very a very steep drop, but it doesn't end in a pool, it ends in a few inches of water at the bottom. If your 8 year old is a daredevil and tall enough to ride, what the heck, let him go. My DD(14) has been riding rides and water slides that scare me half to death since she was about 5. You can stand at the bottom of Summit Plummet and watch everyone coming down. Once he sees it he might change his mind!

My kids like the water parks better than the theme parks, me too they are way more relaxing. Go to both if you can. They are good to put in between theme park days. You stay much cooler and feet don't get as tired.

Dangerous - I don't believe so.

Fun - Absolutely.

Summit Plummet is over so fast you don't know what happened.

I like TL. The wave pool is much better, and the slides at TL are pretty good too.
