Blizzard Beach refurb

Do they usually schedule Blizzard Beach's refurb in December? Wouldn't it make sense to have it open during the holidays since it's theming better matches that time of year than TL? My kids are so bummed it won't be open Christmas week.

Does anyone know if the mini golf will still be open when BB is closed? If so, is there still transportation over there? Thanks!

That is unusual. Usually Typhoon Lagoon goes down end of October until around Jan 1 and the Blizzard Beach closes until early March. Looks like this year the switch is 12/22.

It alternates year to year so that people who visit that time every year have options.

Mini golf will be open even when the water park is closed. We played there last winter when it was undergoing refurb.
