Blizzard Beach OR Typhoon Laoon?

Both are great fun!!! It's all a matter of preference (snow cover or tropical). Have fun in which ever you choose.

I like both. If you have a toddler I liked BB better. I prefer the theming at TL. Plus, the wave pool is awesome. :thumbsup2

Like them both for different reasons. Both have good slides and a lazy river. Plenty of seating and shade at each if you get there at the right time. I think it gets down to theme and I think BB offers the young children more.

TL:
Shark Reef
Super Powerful Wave Pool
Lush Tropical Landscaping
Adult Atmosphere

BB:
Fun Cartoon Atmosphere
Family Raft Ride
Great Kiddie and Under 10 Areas (great design and size)
Wave Pool is calmer, if you want to bob more (also better for young kids)

I thought the sand beach at TL was great for DD then 18 months.

Just a little side note on BB. It can be very bright there when it's really sunny out---all that "snow" covered ground can really throw up a glare--not a huge issue, but it is something we noticed. Personally I like typhoon lagoon--it feels warmer (even though it's probably not) because of the theme--but both are well done. I really like the big family raft ride at BB.

Which do you like better and why?:)

I like TL better, I guess because of the themeing. I come from cold weather and I don't wantto be reminded at all of snow or cold! That's probably the only reason that I can use to compare though. I've been around TL, but I never got out of the toddler area at BB. My kids loved both toddler areas though.

As far as TL, the wave pool is great, but I think a bit rough for little ones when the waves come rolling in. Make sure you have a hand on your kids until you see how they withstand the waves. When we went last Easter, my three kids were 6, 6 and 5 and they were getting knocked down by the waves when they were about mid-calf deep. A big plus for TL are the water roller coasters. They are a lot of fun!

We really enjoyed them both, but thinking about it we liked TL better. I guess because of the theming. It was also a lot prettier than BB. It also seemed more peaceful and relaxing there. Don't get me wrong BB has lots of great things also. We went to both twice on our trip.

The family raft ride at BB is a favorite of our family. It is supposedly one of the longest family raft rides. We have 2 dds ages 4 & 8.

I like TL for the theme and the wave pool. My DD got a real kick out of the wave pool and I am sure my DS will too since this will be the first water park trip for him.

Hi Everyone I love all the comments about both parks cant wait to go!:cutie: (Thanks to free water park and more! )

 But I was wondering if they have a height restriction on any of the slides?
My DS 5 will want to go on a few with us Im sure he may even be braver than DS12.

And has any one done the surfing lessons?

Thanks DISers!
