Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

A good friend of mine will be at WDW with her DH and DD, 9, from August 26 - September 1. She asked me today if they should go to BB or TL and I couldn't give her a good answer. I've been to both but it's been a few years since I've done either. I was sure the DISer's out there would be able to share which one do they like best and why?

As you know, both are incredibly fun. The only advice I would give is to get there early.

I like both of them but my fav. is typhoon lagoon. One reason is because it can be 100 degrees outside and the water is still cold at BB (DH says it is because of the melting snow..LOL) The lazy river at TL seems a lot longer and it doesn't seem as crowded as BB. The kiddie section at TL has a nicer area and more things for the children to do there than BB. The food is much better and more to choose from. The music is not christmas music. They have the HUGE wave pool, and you get to swim with sharks....Those are my reasons but I still go to both of them at least once on our trips.

Yes do get there VERY EARLY because since we stayed on site we got extra magic hours, but when the actual gates opened they were turning folks away by 11 am because they were at capacity. This happened quite often during our trip but luckily we were never turned away!!
