Sorry I did a search but didn't see this question although I am sure it has been asked a zillion times. My girls are ages 3, 6, & 10. THey are somewhat timid but are beginning to like water slides. We have never been to a WDW water park.

Which one has mild slides and stuff for the 3 year old?
We like lazy river tubing too...do they both have that? I couldn't tell which one to choose by looking at the WDW website...not enough info for me.

Also, what day is good to go? Mon, Friday or Sat.? Maybe not a big difference this time of year. We leave in 5 days.

What do you prefer? Thanks in advance. Pam

We haven't been to BB. Our DS loved TL! The lazy river was tame enough for him to ride safely in his own tube, but exciting enough that it wasn't boring for the rest of us. The TL kids area is great!! And the wave pool was a huge hit with him. He actually liked sitting on the "beach" and letting the waves knock him over the best.
As far as which day to go... I'm not sure, but we went on a Tuesday in early March and practically had the place to ourselves. The wave pool got a little busy in the afternoon (meaning we actually saw other people that weren't CMs :sunny: ). I would assume, however, that any weekday would be better than Sat or Sun.
Have fun...

Okay, sounds like you would all prefer Typhoon Lagoon. BB is mostly about the big and fast water sildes. TL and BB both have adorable water play areas for the little ones, but the pool at BB only has "bobbing water" not the waves, which can be great fun for the little ones, if you stay in the back edges, and little "tidal pools". there are water sildes, they can walk down in the bottom of the submarine and see the fish at the shark dive, etc. Have fun!!

Both will be closed at different times this fall and winter for refurbishment. I believe Blizzard Beach is first; I know it will be closed during November. And then I believe Typhoon Lagoon will be closing sometime mid-December. You will definitely need to follow-up on the dates. We aren't planning on doing any water parks, so I didn't pay too close of attention to their refurbishment schedule.

Check the kiddie slides for traction on steps, or wear water shoes. We had an emergency room incident in '03 with DD3 (at the time). Disney was great, paid for DR and ticket comp for the day. We are just now going back this trip, hoping they took my suggestion and made these safer.

Thanks for the info. I will remember water shoes or something for traction.

Sounds great.

We leave in 2 days!!!! Sunday 9/25!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :grouphug:
