Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon - 10/8

We are hoping to finally go to a water park at Disney, during our Columbus Day weekend trip. The only day we really have open is Saturday 10/8. I expect that it will be quite crowded on this day, given the holiday weekend and the many extra families around due to the free dining promotion. Can you recommend one water park over the other on this date, or is it a moot point? We have younger kids in our family (8, 7 and 4) in case that makes a difference.

We know to get there early (and with a 10am opening that will certainly be easy), but weren't sure if one would be a better option for us. They both sound great, so I guess we can't go wrong.

Regardless of crowds (probably about the same at both), you have GOT to do Blizzard Beach if for no other reason than The Summit Plummit.

We liked Typhoon Lagoon better then Blizzard Beach, although they are both fun. We just liked the wave pool at TL a LOT better then the one at BB and I think Crushn' Gusher at TL was everyone's favorite ride in ALL the parks.

We like Typhoon Lagoon. The shark reef rocks. They have something new there where if you pay $20.00 you get an air tank with a regulator and can stay in the reef for 1/2 hour. You are snorkeling with a tank, not scuba diving. Either park you go to hit the slides first, then relax and do the pools.

Yeah, get there early. We were there when Blizzard Beach was full, and believe me, it's no fun at all. The waits are unreal and you can't find a chair or a place to sit anywhere. You can't get a tube for the lazy river, but you really don't need one because it's wall to wall people. Hope it rains that day and then maybe some of the folks will change plans.
