I had a couple of questions on Blizzard Beach lodge picnic umbrellas:

1. I noticed in some pictures on a different post of premium chairs at Typhoon Lagoon that there were the two beach chairs (that are referred to in the standard brochure disclosures) AND two other smaller chairs in the areas. Can anyone who has been in the Blizzard Beach picnic umbrella/premium chair area let me know if there are more than just the two beach chairs for use by your party of four? We will have four people (2 adults and two children) and was wondering if we should make two reservations or if one would be adequate (assuming the two smaller chairs were standard or available).
2. Can anyone confirm there is a location of picnic umbrellas near the main wave pool at Blizzard Beach as noted on the map. Is that a good area to be in or is the other larger area away from the pool better?

Thanks! :)

I can't help you with number 1.

Yes, there is a second Premium Chair area just right of center at Wave pool.
See link to new map below.
As far as which location is better, that would be a personal preference question.
If you want a quieter location, choose near the lodge area.
If you want center of the action, choose the wave pool option, which is smaller and I would think very popular!
Enjoy your trip!

We were at the wave pool umbrellas yesterday and loved it. However I can't compare to the other area 'cus we didn't even go near it to see.

Here is what we liked
1. From the map, bc at the desk she mistakenly pointed to that one fist, the wave pool one seems smaller (less people which I like when renting something "private"). I think there was only 6-7 umbrellas in that section.

2 location, yes it was noisy but we could watch the kids in most spots of the pool from it.

3. Home base, being kinda center of the park, it was a great home base

4. Shade, there was a huge moss covered tree in the middle which provided much needed shade ...I'm not a "layout in the sun type person" so if you crave sun, this is not the one for you.

You get the umbrella (not movable), a small (15 or so inch diameter) table, 2 lounge chairs and 2 upright beach chairs.

Well worth it got us and will do again.

My only gripe, is that I tough a CM was stationed there to check wrist bands, but no one was there. Just a chain and sign saying "private area". We felt a little less secure leaving our stuff there, but in the end had no issues.
