We are planning a trip to the World in December and wondering if it will be warm enough for us to hit Blizzard Beach one day. Any opinions or past observations?

Thanks!

December is an unpredictable month. When we were there last year we had days warm enough for the water and it was cold on other days. Plus if I remember correctly one of the water parks was closed down for refurbishment when we there. It depends on what the weather is like whether the park will open up for the day. If it is going to be 50 outside noone is going to be swimming.

I am sure the park will be open one of the days while you are there.

We had more warmer days than cool days while we where there, but did not do any swimming, my DD had an ear infection on the day we arrived so swimming was out of the question.

We were there this past December at Christmas. Blizzard Beach was opened the entire month until Dec. 27 when it closed until late February. There were several days when we were there warm enough to go, but there were also several days that were way too cold. And keep in mind that the park closes earlier during that time of the year as well(I think it closed at 5:00 when we were there). So pray for nice warm weather and enjoy those snow slopes!

Thanks for the information. I really hope we get to visit Blizzard Beach. I have been wanting to for some time now.

I wanted to go to BB when we were there Dec 00 / Jan 01.

Turns out it was far too cold and everyone was too chicken to brave the weather in our swimsuits! (LOL)

We were there this past December 13th thru the 26th. It was waaaay too cold to swim. When we checked in on the 13th we were told that BB had closed due to inclement weather (meaning it was too cold - 50 degrees).

December is unpredictable in Florida. After we left WDW, we drove south to Ft. Lauderdale and it was still too cold down there to be on the beach. 3 weeks in Florida and not one beach day!!! :( :( :( Guess we'll have to go again!

We were at the World the first week in December last year. We were flexible on our days (the weather really is up and down) and managed to go on a day with an expected high of 79. It was a blast! Our longest wait time was maybe 10 minutes -- and most things after 3:00 we just walked on -- over and over and over again! Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. If so, the crowds are very thin. Enjoy!
