Blizzard Beach closure and ticket refund

Hello all!
I wasn’t too sure where to post this. Blizzard beach is one of the theme parks, right? Haha.

Blizzard beach is closed today due to cold weather and I wanted to know if anybody had a similar experience as us, and getting a refund for the tickets.

We are traveling from Canada and we have two days left in our trip. Today was supported to be our water park day and tomorrow will be our AK day. And yes, the water park closes today!

We don’t have extra day to go to the water park since our plane departs day after tomorrow. Do you know if guest experience team will issue a refund for the ticket?

if not, what would you do if you were me? Extending the expiry date wouldn’t be good since we are travelling from Canada and it takes a fortune to travel here just to use the water ticket in the future!
I’m waiting for your insight and ideas to best resolve this issue.

I would recommend going to Guest Services, explaining your situation and asking if it might be possible to get a refund for the WP portion. They may or may not issue it as the water park was open during your trip, just not on the day you planned to go. It can't hurt to ask understanding the the answer can go either way.

Personally, I'd be prepared for them to say there is nothing they can do and then be pleasantly surprised if they offer a refund.

We got a full refund on the original method of payment !!! I was prepared for anything but they just asked me if I wanted a refund or a gift card! I was very surprised how easy it was! No argument, no explanation, no begging haha! Disney’s the best !

I’ve been here for many a trip where the water parks closed for temps. Haven’t once seen them refuse refunds. Now that you’ve booked park reservations and can likely not adjust even if you wanted to indicate even further i doubt they’d refuse refunds on weather based closures. Their required reservation system for the theme parks makes it practically impossible to adjust on the fly
