I had planned on going to Blizzard Beach on 10-27-05 but they are closed for the entire week for renovation. Should I go to Typhoon Lagoon or should I go to Animal Kingdom. I have a four year old. She loves waterparks and animals. Is Typhoon Lagoon worth it.

So sad about Blizzard Beach

:wave2: I completely think that Typhoon Lagoon is worth it. They have a wonderful childrens area and when we took our DD2 we had some great solo time with Lilo and Stitch in a boat on the "shore". If you were planning a water park day than Typhoon Lagoon is a lateral move for you... not a disappointment at all! :goodvibes

I have always felt that Typhoon Lagoon is a much better themed "family park". Kids can pretty much do everything at the park with an adult.

TL is perfect. BB is actually IMHO,for bigger kids. We took our kids to TL last trip, ages, 15,12 and 5 and they LOVED it! Have fun!

I actually prefer TL over BB. So, I guess my answer will be biased. If you were planning on spending a day at a waterpark then I say go for it. It really has a great theme. Also, the new water coasters would be great to check out.

My kids like both water parks. For me they are the same. It doesn't matter to us which one we go to, they're so similar. I do agree that TL is better for a 4 yr. old.

You are planning on going to AK even if you do a water park, right? I would never suggest skipping AK for TL or BB, unless you really want a break from the parks.

While I love TL, I'm not sure I would say it's better than BB, just different. The wave pool at TL is awesome and the slides are a more tame. We love them both for totally different reasons so we always have to do both!

One thing to keep in mind, even in the off-season the water parks can get pretty crowded. We were there last Sept. during the hurricanes and even though the main parks were empty, BB got crowded by about 1:00pm, especially around the pool area. I would guess that with one of the water parks closed, TL will be very crowded, so get there early.

Typhoon Lagoon is our favorite park, too. Another tip- pick near a landmark to put your stuff down. Otherwise, when it fills up, you'll be wondering which towel and chair is yours in the sea of towels.

you can easily hit ak and tl in one day.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I have another question. I am trying to fit AK in but I do not know where I would put it. We were planning one park for each day. We are currently going to Universal Studios, Sea World, MK, Epcot, and MGM. If we go to TL and AK in the same day, would I go to TL first or AK. They both close at 5:00 p.m. I guess it would make sense to go to AK first being that it opens at 9:00 and TL opens at 10:00. Or is there any of the other Disney parks that I could fit AK in the same day with and do the park hopper so I do not have to waste another ticket? I was considering on the day I do Epcot or MGM but I not sure there will be enough time for both considering future world closes at 7:00 at Epcot and the Fantasmic show wait time. I do not care much about the world showcase. Any suggestions?
