We want to visit BB in the afternoon. We have time in our schedule from 3 till closing, how bad are the lines at that time of day?. We will be there in July on a Friday.

The only problem with your plan is that if there are thunderstorms (very likely on a July afternoon) BB will close while the storms are in the area.

If there are no storms, it will be quite crowded.

I am interested in hearing more thoughts on this as well. We are leaving Thursday, and have a half day at BB planned for Tues. 5/23. We are flexible as to whether to go in the morning or wait until after lunch ( I heard that this was a good time to go). Guess I'll check on the weather and make a decision...are thunderstorms as big of a threat in May as later in the summer?

from what i have seen the last few hours the park is open are the best. we have done that many times and have been able ride alot of slides without a wait. of course the bigger slides like summit plummit and the family raft ride had about a 15 minute wait. during the summer though you do need to get really lucky not to get stuck in a storm :umbrella: we also went mid week instead of the weekends.
