Cast: DH Dads first trip to Disney in 20 years
DD age 3 Princess Extraordinaire
DS age 5 Prince Of Our Hearts
Me - Mom & trip planner also my first trip in 20 years
DAY NINE: The Trip Home
We managed to be ready for the luggage pick-up. We made one last stop at the resort gift shop where I bought a few things to be shipped home for Christmas gifts for the kids one being the Cinderellas castle for dd. We also bought thank you cards and gifts for those who kept our dog and got our mail for us. A driver from Tiffany Town car was waiting for us which was a little confusing as we had booked with Cartier. Thankfully he had both a booster and car seat for this trip. As we were pulling out, the driver we originally had from Cartier showed up for us. They talked between themselves and determined they had both been sent. Since we were already loaded in the first van, we went with him. The driver was very pleasant & polite. The van and car seats were in good condition & clean.
United curbside check-in was great. Security at MCO was more sensitive. They told dh & I to take off our shoes which we hadnt done at Dulles. Dds little sandals actually set off the metal detectors so we had to take her shoes off. They handchecked my film again, but just looked at them didnt use the tests they had done at Dulles.
Our flights home went well, as did our drive. We were happy to see that Hurricane Isabel had not left much damage at our house. It was bittersweet to be back home knowing that our trip to Disney was over.
