I've been quesy all day as it is. Now someone decides to microwave FISH! I think I'm going to hurl!

Seafood should be prohibited in work microwaves! :thumbsup2

That is no joke!! Fish has to be the nastiest smelling stuff microwaved. I'd take burnt popcorn any day.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Ugh!

OMG I hear ya! In fact, the biggest perpetrator in this office was fired last week, and that was the first thing I thought of "oh thank goodness, no more fishy lunch!"

Nope. Wet socks! But fish is a close second ;)

OP - when nobody is around, stick a note on the microwave stating "no fish, thanks for your cooperation"!

I haven't had the displeasure of any one warming up their socks. But during lent, Fridays stink around here from all the fish lunches being warmed up.

Wait! I'll be down with the wet socks in a couple of hours. Um, can I borrow airfare? ;)

OMG I'd be barfing up a storm. I'd have to leave! I hope there aren't any preggos in the office! :rotfl:

Burnt Popcorn and fish are bad, true. But have you ever smelled cabbage cooking in the microwave? :scared1:
Makes the entire place smell like a dump!

As an FYI, to many people, *any* microwaveable popcorn smells like vomit. Burning it just makes it smell *better*, if anything.

When I worked at amazon, this one guy heated up his 4 day old cajun shrimp. He shouldn't have even been *eating* shrimp that had been in the fridge that long, IMO, let alone heating it in the office.

Microwave fish should be banned at the office. It smells horrible! I LOVE fish, I could eat it every day, but I would never microwave fish at work. It's just rude. If you want fish for lunch eat a tuna sandwich, or some cold poached salmon, or smoked salmon, or chilled shrimp, or a tuna niciose salad, etc. etc.

We actually have that rule, no fish, no popcorn....but we still pop the corn. :)

I would be so embarassed to cook fish at work! The smell lingers and lingers, and you just can't imagine anything that smells that terribly could taste even halfway decent!

What possesses people to bring leftover fish to work? :confused3

Doesn't it smell like burnt tires?

My mom makes this cabbage thing, and whenever she reheated it when I was growing up, I would ask how she could eat something that smelled like burning tires! :rotfl:

I sat next to someone on an airplane that broke out a tuna fish sandwich mid flight- I almost puked- I think tuna fish smells worse than any other fish there is- THAT should be banned from public places!

There IS a 'no fish' rule in my compound. Every once in a while, someone does it anyway and they take all kinds of heat. My last private sector job had a 'no fish' policy as well.
No one likes it, send around an email asking for co-operation. (with the bosses permission of course!)
