Blackout days???

Can someone please explain to me what these are
Am a newbie to all things DL so was confused when I read another poster mentioning these

Blockout days are days where your annual pass are no good for admission into the parks. For example a Deluxe annual pass is good for 315 out of 365 days in the calendar year. The 50 that you can't go to the park are the blockut days. If you have an annual pass and want to go to e park on a blockout day you can buy a blockout pass for like $45. I'm not exactly sure on the price....

Some people have annual passes to Disneyland (or WDW). There are different "levels" of annual passes, the most expensive allows the passholder to enter the Park every day.

All other "levels" of annual passes have certain days that the passholder is not allowed in the park with the use of their pass. These are called blockout days (the passholder is blocked from using their pass on that day). The less expensive the pass, the more blockout days.

For example, those with the Southern California Annual Pass are blocked out on the days shown here.

The important thing to know is the cheaper/more blackouted out pass are the most common.


When these people are blocked out the park can be slower the days near those blocked days may be the busiest because of the supressed demand.

Nope, blockout. As in, blocked from entering.

OH! Got it, now. Thanks. I thought it was saying the cheaper "blackout" pass, but there's only only blockout ticket so I was lost. I'm found now. Thanks.
