i have a couple of sleevelesss dresses and i am going on a cruise this summer so want something to throw over them when i get cold.

never seem to see them in the stores - any ideas?

Do you know someone who crochets or knits? I crochet and have made similar stuff for cousins. They are pretty simple and can be done fairly quickly.

I needed something similar a few years ago and I bought one at Macy's. It wasn't the most budget friendly thing, but it is beautiful and as long as I care for it I don't think all need to buy another one for many many years.

Pashmina's. We purchased a bunch of them as gifts for our daughters wedding. We paid about 10.00 each. Sorry, I don't recall the website. Goodluck.

If you are crafty, they are very easy to sew and you can pick a range of fabrics...all you need to do is place a small hem on the ends and you are done ;0)...another place is World Market, they seem to have them all the time and very reasonable :)

I'm sure there are people that sell them on Etsy. I bought mine at Nordstrom online when it was on sale.

I see them all the time at World Market, I got mine as gifts so I can't help much more than that. But yes, if you Google pashmina you'll get a bunch of hits. :)

I bought one I use all the time off ebay - $10

search pashima on ebay

thanks so so much..never new they were called pashiman's. Any way they have tons on e-bay - now to figure out what color...are they easy to figure out how to wear? also they seem so long - r they? i'm only 5'1

They sell them for $10 on Carnival cruises in the giftshop. Which line are you going on?

The will have tons of them on the Royal Carribbean ship also. They are one of those things they will have out on the Promenade on special with all the watches, t shirts and every thing else they make you feel like you absolutely have on your trip, lol.

I see you are from SI, my daughter was in NYC and found them super cheap from a sidewalk vendor. Keep your eyes peeled if you're in the city before your trip. You might get lucky.

Hey lisaross I am from Staten Island too!! Macys has them, Macys actually carries a lot of shawls!!

I have bought them at Kohls and Deb shops. Prom time is coming they should be out soon.
