Black Friday

My family is going to Disney World over thanksgiving this year and I was wondering if there's any kind-of Black Friday evens going on in or around Disney World? My mom LOVES Black friday so she'd be super excited if something was going on!

I seem to remember that there is nothing really in the way of sales at the parks but with all the shopping opportunities around the parks you might find some good deals.

The outlet mall across the way does a midnight sale special. Last year they were giving away something for people that shopped in their PJs.

There's also the Mall of Millenia just up the road on I-4, with lots of shops surrounding it.

As far as Disney goes, there's not black friday sale. Although they usually run some discounts on merchandise. A lot of the year dated stuff gets marked down. They know people visiting in 2010 will more than likely purchase a dated item marked down, rather than some one visiting in 2011.

We did the black Friday sales in Orlando two years ago. We loved it because we started at the Outlet malls when they opened and then hit the regular mall when it opened, went back to our condo and slept! We felt it is much easier to start shopping at midnight and finish in the early am than to get up at 5 or 6 am and start shopping. If DD (19) weren't so anti being gone on holidays, I would do it again!!!
