Black Friday question------UPDATE

There was something that DS absolutely had to have for Christmas and I search high and low for it and finally found it two weeks ago for $100 in Target. Now I see Target's Black Friday ad and this items is now on sale for $50 less. Can I get a price adjustment if I bring my receipt to Target tomorrow? Or do I have to repurchase the item for the sale price and return the one that I bought at full price? Does anyone know?

If it is a doorbuster you will have to repurchase. The sale on the doorbusters is usually "as supplies last" or time limits.

I would go try and get the item and return the other one.

I don't believe the item is a door buster, at least it didn't say so next to the item. I looked at the front of the flier and it said prices are good for two days only (Friday and Saturday).

The Lego Millenium Falcon, sale price $49.99. I paid $98 for it two weeks ago.

Or if you bought it with credit card you can try using price protection.

At Target you can get an adjustment. I just can't remember if it needs to be done within 7 or 10 days.

Since Target is a 2 day sale, I would think you could do it. But I would get up there in the morning to see.

Since I had a shopping date with another DISer today, I sent DH (after I called first). I was told that as long as it was within 13 days of purchase (today was day 13) and we brought the receipt and the item they would refund the difference ($50+ change). So not only did we get a refund, DH was able to buy something else for DS with the extra money and still came home with $20 (which I will use to buy a DVD). So it all worked out, and DS will get 2 additional gifts. Can't beat that!
