I've never gone to a black friday in stores - we live 1 1/2 hours away from any major stores, like toys-r-us or walmart, so I usually do my shopping online. This year we're trying to save as much money as possible, though, so I'm wondering if hitting up Black Friday at the stores is a good enough deal or if I'll get better deals online? Any thoughts?!

Some of the best deals are NOT online. I do check for the ones that are online and I'm up at dawn on my computer getting them. Last year Walmart had some good online stuff, but you have to be early.

The best stuff, like at Sam's Club, cannot be bought online. I remember getting to Sam's at 5am and they had already given away the tickets at 3am. I was so mad, I was UP online at 3am!!

I'm usually the one out in line. Last year, walmart had GREAT deals online -the exact stuff I wanted. Woke up at 3 am, had laptop beside the bed, bought my stuff online, went back to sleep 3:15 am, delivered to my door four days later. best black friday EVER!

Cyber Monday is supposed to be the online equivalent to BF -- it's geared for Monday, because (even though the boss says otherwise), a lot of shoppers will be sitting in front of their computer screen (at work) on the Monday that follows BF.

In the past, Electronics shops, Toys "R" Us, and Target.com have all participated...
