I did another 19 minutes on the wii fit. I was just going to "see something" and ended up going a tad longer than expected. Time flies when you're having fun.
I did 35 minutes yesterday on my Wii fit--how can hula hooping make you break out into a sweat??? And 35 minutes on the elliptical today. And tomorrow too.
loving my Wii fit plus here as well! Of course, I was doing my workout late tonight, and never realized that the time was off from the switch to daylight savings time. So the last 3 min of my workout went towards tomorrow.
It's fixed now. That's my public service announcement of the day!
I got 60 minutes in yesterday. 30 minutes on the WATP 2 mile pilates walk and 30 minutes on Wii fit plus Boxing and Step. I plan to get at least 30 minutes in today.
I am going to be veryy veryy boring and redundant, what can I say? I'm a creature of habit, my old habit was NOT working out and eating right, my new habit is trying to do both!
I walked 4 miles today (2 in the morning and 2 just now) it took me 90 minutes to get it all in, I also do weights every other 'lap' on the treadmill..that gets my heart way up in training range...I ate okay, breakfast was multigrain cheerios and skim milk, snack was 8 cashews, lunch was Subway sandwich (and cheetos..ugh) with unsweet tea...no mayo just vinegar and oil with meat/veggies...dinner was chicken noodle soup and I had one brownie my mom sent home with the kids...I actually LOVE LOVE brownies, but have not been tempted to have another one so that is a good thing!!
That is my concern as well as I am also a single Mom to a five year old who wants to do everything I do. I am going to do the best I can though. This morning I got up at 4:30and worked out for twenty minutes on the WFP. I think this evening, I will do a WATP walk and let him do it with me. Then maybe try to get in some minutes on my elliptical when he goes to bed.
I'll commit to 30 minutes for today. It will probably be something relatively low-key, like light cardio or Wii Fit. I did a 2.5 mile jog yesterday and will be doing another one tomorrow, so I like to keep things less strenuous on the days in between.
Jordan's Mommie - maybe once a week or so you could exercise with your DS. Maybe a Simon Says game of exercise, like, "Simon Says do 10 jumping jacks." I know there are videos for parent/toddler yoga - maybe there are ones for older kids too? I'm sure there are other videos geared towards younger kids. Does anyone else remember Mousercize? At our house, we get a 10-minute workout every time DD watches "Imagination Movers." She LOVES the song at the end of each episode - they lyrics are about "Jump up, get down, stand up, turn around" - so we rewind and play the song about 5 times in a row (at DD's request), and she makes sure anyone else in the room participates.
Hey - the best you can do is all you can do, you can't do any more than that. Just take it one day at a time and do what you can. It all adds up and it's better than none!
