Good Tuesday Morning.

We already had Mikamah check in with a .4 loss:cheer2: :cheer2:

I have not had a good morning. I had a 3 pound gain since last week. I thought with the party this weekend I would have lost something but I didn't drink my water for the last couple of days and the end of the antibiotic has done a job on my digestive track so all and all not a great week. I was feeling sorry for myself but I knew that you guys would understand. So I went downstairs and packed my breakfast and lunch and here I am.

I will write more later but I have kids for extra help because I am giving tests today.

Hoep everyone else has a great losing day

Good Morning!!! Not a good weigh-in day for me.. up 1lb! I know it's been my eating because I'm been more active this week than previous... Got to get back on track!

Stacie

Well Black Team from initial reports it does not look good for us to retain the win in the weekly weigh in. We have all had a bad week and even with Thanksgiving looming ahead of us I think we can all have a great losing week next week. I don't know the total until tomorrow and then I will let you know.

I know that this has taught me that I need to keep eating my fruits and veggies and drinking my wAter. These are two major places that I have been neglecting this week. I also want to get back to exercising since my knee is less swollen than it was last week.

This may not be the week we want but we are fortunate to all be here helping each other. Without each other where would we be. Probably 10 pounds heavier.

Let me give a different viewpoint. I just got an email from someone I know. Her mother died this past summer from breast cancer. Her father is not well so she has been dealing with both her mother and her father. Her father is in a nursing home and with her mother gone she thought that she would enjoy her son's last year of high school. She just found out that she has breast cancer and it now may be in both breasts. She is in the testing stages to find out the best cure.

When I got this email this morning it made me think. 3 pounds is nothing compared to what my friend is going through. Think about it.

What do you have to be grateful this Thanksgiving?

Even though I have had some health issues they are nothing compared to other people. Don't take your health for granted. You never know what is going to happen.

 for you and your friend, Dona. You are so right - it doesn't matter how old you are, where you live, what you do - your health can change in a moment. Let's give thanks for being ABLE to exercise and be healthy!

I am such a loser - and not in a good way :rolleyes1 - I am not AT home and I forgot to weigh myself before I left so I have NO idea how my week has gone. Flat-line me, or count me as not checking in. Sorry team!

:grouphug: So sorry to hear that about your friend. I have heard a few very tragic stories about friends of friends at work this week, and it's heartbreaking to see what others have to endure. It definitely makes me count my blessings. I am very fortunate and my family also have been pretty healthy.

Dona and Postef- I'm sorry you had gains this week, and I know what that's like. It's a roller coaster that we need to stay on, no matter how long it takes, and we can do it. I was watchig BL last night and when they said the average person gains 7 pounds between thanksgivng and new years, I said to myself, I will not be that person. I pulled my ww trackers from the past 2 years, and one year, I was up 2 pounds for the 6 weeks, and the other year, I was essentially the same. This is the first year I'm not going to ww meetings, and I'm a little nervous, but with all the wonderful support here, we can all have a successful holiday season.

Geetey, it's nice to know I'm not alone in my absentmindedness. Yesterday I left work and started toward my sons school, instead of the Y program where he was at.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!

Yes we had a gain this week. I had a gain so did a few other people.

Have a great Thanksgiving and let's go back to losing tomorrow so that we can win another week. We also have to think about the long picture and think about a month from now. That's the one that really counts.

Happy Day After Thanksgiving, everyone!! I am back home and am relieved to report that my weight is still the same. Luckily my mom made the 2 pies I don't like! I don't care for gravy either so, while my Thanksgiving meal didn't have much green (besides those green beans), I did okay and started on plan.

I am going to spend some time evaluating what I am doing so I can kick this plateau and get the numbers going DOWN again. I am thinking, since things seemed to be kind of second nature, that I have gotten lazy about something and I am missing it.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

Good Saturday Morning It is pretty quiet here. I just have some errands to run today. Tomorrow I am heading up to visit with my mom and dad and celebrating mom's birthday Tuesday. WE had to plan the meal around the pot of chili my brother is bringing. I don't know who will be able to eat it since he really likes hot food. ONe of my sisters is bringing a pork tenderloin (I hope she doesn't over cookit.) I am bringing a veggie tray with some dip (that I will make)and some rolls. Another sister is making mom's favorite cake, Boston creme pie and another sister is b ringing a green salad and some rice. So it should be a pretty healthy day.

My knee is making progress some times it is sore but it is getting better. Last night I took no pain relief and it felt pretty good this morning. Maybe by MOnday I can start working out again.

Thanksgiving at my mother in laws is a very fast and simple project. I brought a cooked turkey and ham. They were boiling the potatoes when I got there. We also served peas and some stuffing. Appetizers were a bag of nachos and cheese that they served in the jar and some slices of cheese. It was easy to avaoid those. Besides I was cooking. I don't like to cook in a strange kitchen. I did bring some pies and left most of them there except for the cherry which I finished for lunch yesterday.. SO the rest of the weekend should be pretty easy to stay on track.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. It turned really cold here and the leaves are finally fallingoff the trees but there are still a lot of leaves on the trees. The moon last night was incredible.

Well off to clean the living room and run some errands before my husband takes the van. He just took his truck into the shop for an oil change and I know he will want to go somewhere and take my van.
Have a great Saturday. Keep up the hard work.

Good morning Black Team

How is the weather in your part of the country? Here is Jersey it is wet. It is not as cold as it was last week so nothing around here is freezing. It is not a great way to start a Monday morning.

I worked out yesterday morning and my knee really was giving me trouble last night. It didn't help that the cat that started this knee problem was lying on my legs again. I did walk about 10 minutes this morning and iced and heated the knee while I ate breakfast.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving weekend? We did Thursday at dmil and Sunday at my dm's because her birthday is Tuesday. All the kids and grandkids were there except my sister in De. I think she is sad that she misses out on some of these things but she was up for Thanksgiving.

Here is a problem that came up last night. We are going to DW in AUg. My sister and her family are also planning to go and will probably go at the same time. This doesn't bother me because we have gone with them before and when we need private time we are not afraid to say it and go our separate ways. The kids are best of friends and the youngest are now old enough to go off on their own. The older ones did it on our last trip and we let the younger ones do it for few hours in the MK at the end of the trip.. Here's the problem: They are DVC members and they offered to let us stay with them in a 12br suite either at the WL or Boardwalk. I have stayed at both WL with family and Boardwalk with my sister. I didn't say yes but I did say that I don't know if it is a good idea. She relied yea I know it is nice to sometimes say good by see you tomorrow. I would love to have the family stay atr the Boardwalk but I can't afford it right now. We are looking at the family suites so that the boys and dh and I could have separate bedrooms. This is what I am leaning to right now. If we stayed in the 2bd suite the boys would be in the same room and that is not what I had planned. My heart says yes but logic says stay with the original plan and meet up with them every now and then.

Have a good day. Off to get ready for classes.

Good morning everyone!!! Just wanted to stop and say a quick hello, and hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving.

I had a busy and fun weekend. But definitely not a losing weekend. I did make some smart choices, but made some bad ones too. I just weighed myself and am up 3 pounds,:scared1: but am drinking lots of water, and hope to have it not be that bad tomorrow.

Dona- that's a tough decision to make. Could you spend some of you time with your sis and family, like a few nights, and then go to a less expensive hotel for the rest of your vacation. It's hard to travel and stay in the same place with another family, but it sounds so very tempting for you. Good luck with your decision.

Off to work now. Have a great day everyone. Oh, yea, here in Mass it's a cool and rainy morning. The kind of day it's nice to stay in bed.

It's cold and yucky here in St Louis. No snow, thank goodness! I reall don't like winter. I had a busy weekend and am happy to report that my Christmas tree is up and well as the bulk of my Christmas decorations. Mantle - check, bathroom - check, houses - check. Just have to do the stairs (I wrap greenery with wide ribbon around the handrails and then hang our cards there.) I did a sneak peak weigh in and I am down this morning! Woo! 1 to 1.5 pounds so I am drinking LOTS of water in hopes of making that a solid 1.5 (or maybe even 2#! :goodvibes ) loss.

Dona - that's a tough decision. The 2 bedroom units in DVC are SOOOO nice. It's awesome having the washer & dryer right there, the full kitchen. We love the Boardwalk and that area. That said.... I can really understand the privacy issues.

I am guessing you would have the room with the 2 q beds. This probably sounds bad, but for me, it would probably come down to $$. If you have to pay your sister AND give up privacy/flexibility, I would probably stick with your original plan of the family suites. However, if you end up looking at getting a traditional room, I would probably go with sister at BW.

Since that probably doesn't help at all, I will stop! My sisters are both much younger and not married. Since they are the only ones who vacation with us, I haven't been faced with this issue yet. Last trip, we just had 2 connecting rooms at POP and my 22 yr old sister shared a room with my then 12 yr old dd.
