Good Friday Morning I am the same as last week which is okay with me. I know I am in for a big loss soon.

Please make sure to weigh in today and PM your weight and what team you are on to dare2dream or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. If using email please also include your DIS screen name.
* When reporting state your weight in pounds ie xxx pounds. You may use
1/10 of pounds if you would like ie xxx.x pounds.

Next week I will start Week 12 thread on Thursday morning if you want to weigh in early due to Thanksgiving. I need to weigh in on Thursday because I may be away on Friday.

I think it would be my 9th grade alg 1 teacher. She saw something in me and encouraged me. I am a better teacher because of her.

Anne Hardison. She is a former client of mine. I must have walked past her a dozen times at the gym without realizing it was her. She has lost atleast 75 pounds. She looks like a completely different person. She is my inspiration for my 3 yr plan to reform my body and regain my health.
 
Hi. Sorry I haven't been around much. I started working full-time about 2 months ago and it's really been interfering with my free time. :lmao:

I'm still losing....very slowly but surely which I don't mind.

As for someone I admire, I admire nativetxn (katholyn) from the DISBoards. She is always sweet and has a kind word for everyone.
 
Hey all!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I stayed the same this week. A little disappointed but not TOO much as at least I did not gain. :)

I would say a person that I admire the most would be my father. I have always looked up to him and he is a wonderful man. He's been to Vietnam as a k9 handler (which meant him and his dog were always the first to go into any new area) and dealt with it very well, I feel blessed he is not one of the unfortunate vietnam vets plaugued with nightmares and he was able to be a brilliant father to me and he still is. Also he was a police officer for 35 years and is now living up a well earned retirement golfing almost every other day. I love him so much!

Well I'm off to run 6 miles on the trails, it's due for today for my half marathon training...it makes me tired just thinking about it! Have a great day everyone!!!!

Good Monday MOrning

How is everyone this morning. I got up and did about 20 minutes of pilates and I feel great. I have a great deal of things to do today but it will work.

No question of the day yet. WHen I get one I will post it.

I was down around 4 lbs on Friday, but then I went to a friends' house for the weekend and ate horribly (really really off my doc's plan.) Part of the deal is no sugar, no starch- I ate over the weeknd....Frozen banana with chocolate and nuts, hot pretzel with cheese dip (not so much "off plan" but I don't want to think about the calories), 8 smidgens (chocolate), 2 homemade biscuits, coconut chocolate chip gelato, 1/2 bag of chocolate covered gingerbread (I LOVE this), a Bellini and French toast with cinnamon and sugar. I should be able to undo the damage in the next few days, but by the time I am back to last weeks' weight it will be Thanksgiving!
So, in short don't expect a loss from me this week gang (or maybe even a maintain). Hopefully I will be able to pull another double digit the first weigh in of December and catch up! :thumbsup2
 
Good Tuesday Morning

Has this thread gotten this quiet because of Thanksgiving?


I am weighing in on Thursday since I may be away Friday morning (No I don't think I will be shopping. ANd if I am it will be at one store in North jersey so I don 't have to go back in to it in Dec.)

I will also be starting the new thread before I leave on Thursday.

Raenstoirm YOu have done such a great job. It sounds like the new diet is very restrictive and sometimes you need that to start. DOn't get upset with yourself. Keep up the good work.

I am not looking forward to Thanksgiving. My mother had planned a nice day since it is also her birthday. Unfortunately a couple of my sisters complained that there will be no turkey so my mom had to change her plans.Now the ones who complained have not offered to cook the turkey so my mom and one of my sisters (not one who complained) will be cooking. This is also the
group that most of them never sent my sons graduation cards (1 from high school and 1 from college) and never sent dh and I anniversary cards. We weren't looking for gufts for the boys or ourselves but high school and college graduation are big things. And our anniversary was our 30th. Not exactly a small acccomplishment. I just have to remember to work out and try to get some yoga in to calm me down.

So far so good with getting back to Friday's weight. Hopefully I will be there tomorrow if all goes as planned. My doc's orders are painfully restrictive as in
I can't even eat turkey! I am going to eat chicken (on the OK list) and "taste" of few of the items everyone else gets to eat. My goal is to only gain a lb and then be perfect for the next few days.

First let's address the big dilemma of the week. Thursday is Thanksgiving. I hope you all have festive plans and a solid game plan to get you through the holiday in a healthy manner. Our usual weigh in day is Friday. I would love to hear from you then but if you are expecting to do some damage on Thursday then weigh in early or weigh in late.

You can weigh in any time as far as I am concerned. I usually do my calculations Monday afternoon. Even if you are late send in your weight report. I will use it if I can. I can change numbers up until the time the official announcement is made.

Now let's look at how we did last week. Yes we lost members as usual but we also found some. Some deleted members have returned to the fold.

How many more weigh ins gang? 3, yes three. I am expecting Fridays numbers to be ugly but you may surprise me. After that we have two weeks to finish this thing out. Staying in control this week could really help you finish this with a bang.

Do you have a solid Thanksgiving game plan? Make your mind up now. Prepare for those temptations. It's OK to enjoy but don't overindulge. Exercise to make up for the additional calories on Thursday.

There is so much more to enjoy in life than food.

Good Wednesday Morning

Hope everyone has a good game plan for the next coupleof days. It could be ugly. I am spending most of today in a car getting my sons and a coupleof his friends home from college. One is a former student of mine so I can't wait to talk to him. Then a drive up tomorrow to see my family.

DOn't forget that I am starting the thread tomorrow morning because I don't know if I am coming home Thursday night or not. I will also be weighing in Thursday because I don't know about Friday morning.

Ugh- we were nearly 10 lbs from the winner! We really need to get crackin! I am "officially" down half a lb so far from last week after my weekend explosion. We plan on leaving for my family in about 2 hours, but i already have a plan for on the road lunch and tonights dinner. I am also planning on running to the store once we arrive and picking up crudités for tomorrow. if I am going to eat mindlessly (as i pretty much do whenever in these type of situations) it might as well be good for me.
 
I am so so sorry team!! Please forgive me. I only had a 1.5 weight gain, not the 11.5 I posted to dare2dream!!! I messed up big time and have had problems with our modem so i stopped even trying to get on the computer and missed the PM asking if I had made a mistake!!

If it's any consolation I am having a much better week. I'm weighing in Friday morning and its keeping me focused on not overeating.

There is nothing you can do about it except laugh. It is funny. I'm glad that you told us we can enjoy it.
