Great point, Agnes. I don't think any of us would allow other people to speak to us the way our "inner critic" speaks to us. That's an important thing to remember. It's so easy to beat yourself up over eating too much, losing to little, etc. But, we have to be good to ourselves both by pushing out negative thoughts and by eating well and getting enough exercise.

Well, I finally lost another pound! It's too late for this week, but I'm hoping it'll stay gone along with more for next weeks weigh in!

I really feel like I let our team down yesterday. I loved last weeks challenge and I had 65 points. I was scheduled to work yesterday from 7 am to 1 pm. I had planned to come home and post my points by 3 pm. Well.... my relief called in sick and I was stuck at work until 11 pm. I didn't have time to post while I was at work because we were so busy, I didn't even have time to go to the bathroom. It was a really long day. I guess my points won't count for the team but at least they counted for myself. I loved going to the library by myself and actually spent a few hours looking around. I take my girls there all the time and I never spend any time for myself. After this week that is going to change.

Gotta go get the girls school started. Have a great day everyone.
 

guess what , guess what , guess what.... I finally got into a pair of scrubs I have been saving forever!!! and two ppl today at work have asked me if i am loosing weight!!! That is sooo exciteing to know someone can tell! Just thought I would share.. dorky i know but omg! cloud 9 here! lol

I have another list of Red Team superstars to post another time. I am listed out. It takes time to get them lookin purdy. The weigh in results and challenge points do show how much we need everybody helping. I did include bcvprincesses challenge points even though she did not PM me. All weights and all challenge points can be sent to me up until the time the official announcements are made. Even if your weight is late PM it to me do that my records will be current.

We had 8 people not reporting in this week, well actually just 7, one was too busy to weigh in but she did PM me. I am worried about my 7 MIAs. Some of them do check in here regularly. If you did not PM me this week please do it now. No excuses are needed. I know life happens, I know some weeks are more difficult than others. The important thing is to pick yourself up by the bootstraps and get back on the right path to healthy living. I know you can do it. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. Please just check in with me to let me know what is going on with you.

Second place is quite an accomplishment, but I know we can be #1.

Nevermind, calculated it myself. :) I seem to be way behind others in the weight loss, hopefully I can kick it up a notch this week. :)

Having a 'mixed' week so far food-wise....much better today than yesterday. I've GOT to start those morning walks!

sorry for not being here last week. i had some unusual circumstances and forgot to send my weight and challenge results.

on a positive note: i joined the gym on tuesday and have been going for the last 2 days (since my swipe card wouldn't work the first day). i've been going on the elliptical machine for 30 min and then i usually do at least 3 reps of 10 for each upper body machine i pick (chest press, tricep extension, bicep curl) and i also throw in the hip flexor machines to tighten up my behind.

i'm looking forward to losing more weight now that i am back to working out and since i don't eat as much as i had previously when i worked out, i should lose a little more than i had before. :cheer2:
 
OK Gals. Cross you fingers & say a prayer for me. My weight loss just got a little tougher. I quit smoking yesterday. I'm not the patch. I was going to try to quit cold turkey but was afraid I would break down & eat everything in the house. The patch really takes the edge off but I am still afraid of falling off of my diet. I have been trying to exercise when the desire to smoke gets too strong & have been pulling out my fat clothes & old pictures to remind myself of how yuck my very unhealthy lifestyle was. I'm just praying this doesn't back fire on me.

Cut those carrot sticks down to ciggie shape and suck away! Then eat them for all the good nutrition!

A zillion years ago when I quit, I found that deep breaths (like sucking on a straw) really helped. While there is the nicotine addiction, there are also some behaviours that we 'miss' when no longer smoking. I often smoked to relax, so the breathing technique really helped me.

Good Luck! I've never smoked, so I don't have any tips to help, but I can let you know I'm cheering you on! I know how hard it is for me to give up sweets or soda or something like that, so just hang in there!

On a side note - I just finished my first week on WW (back at the meetings, not counting on my own) and I lost 1.8 pounds! So, I hope I can contribute a weight loss to the team's total on Tuesday!

I quit...wow...it was 15 years ago on october 6th...it was difficult. I went cold turkey, well I almost died on the operating table first...what helped me most was everytime I wanted a cigarette was to do something else. Kind of like here when we want to eat. Get busy and you will forget. The other thing I did was I kept saying one day at a time...I didn't know at that time it was from AA, but it kept me sane. You can do this. And it isn't easy...there are days I still crave one! Good luck and have a good weekend red team! We can do it!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I've been MIA for a few here, just very busy at work and home.

I think my weight loss is going good, I know my work pants are getting pretty lose so that has to be a good sign.

I missed WW this week since DD #2 had to go in for a bone scan and CT scan on Thursday; that tied me up almost 6 hours! Nothing serious with her, she just has a back injury and they are checking to see if she has a stress fracture in the base of her spine.
 
Went to a Women of Comedy show last night at Plymouth Memorial Hall. There were 5 female comedians. One of them was Kelly Mac from BL season 1. She was very funny! She said she has lost 85 lbs.

That cig on the drive home was the hardest for me too! (I never smoked before noon....funny eh?)

You know what? I think I need to laugh more, see some of my favorite comedies on DVDs (ooooo - Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, some Leslie Nielsen, ) and now this women of comedy show...I'll have to keep a look-out for that. Was it truly hysterical?
