good morning BLUE!!
i feel soo out of the loop, i apologize for being MIA the past 3 weeks. sadly we bid farewell to our Spanish student on Saturday, which will free up much more of my time now, but we really enjoyed having her and it was sad. the mother in me asked her to email us that she was home safely and she did, after 26 hours of travel and before she went to bed..to tell us she 'cryed' on the bus leaving.

and to thank us again for her parting gifts

and some america 'treats' to share with her family. junk food of course, she loved pop rocks and gummies
ok.
that said i'm truly ready to get back into my regular healthy eating. we had a dinner out saturday night (DH's bosses house, good but swimming in oil) and i have been grazing on halloween candy. i broke my usualy WI once a week rule and stepped on the scale this morning, i'm back up those pounds that gave me a place in the top losers from last week. now i feel like a chumpy fraud BL....i'm soooo tired of gaining and losing the same darn 3 lbs!

ok on the challenge, i'm doing good on the sleeping part

friday night i had a date with DH, no kids and i made us pizza -- whole wheat dough with pesto (homemade that i froze) cubed chicken breast, mushrooms and mozz cheese (RF for me) it was really good. we just chilled and chatted and had some wine with dinner. it was nice. i hope to get a date with each of my DDs by wed night......the weeks go so fast though.
what rejuvenates me? i like to take a long hot bath and read in the winter time. that more relaxes me though. lately i have been scrapbooking alot and it's a wonderful sense of accomplishment to spend some time in my 'area' ..away from the kitchen and then have something so great to show for it. i really love to scrapbook and love to have the books for my family. another quick lift is to take a short walk in the brisk cool fall air.....i need to make time for this more often, my doggie would love me to for sure.
