WAY TO GO BLUE TEAM! We really stepped it up this week and we did a great job! :cheer2:

Contrats blue team and big blue team losers!

2nd isn't tooo shabby.

Personal goal-To Swim, Bike and Walk this week - TWICE EACH!! And to sign up for another sprint triathlon for next year. Will post when I have completed.

I am a little freaked out by the steroids :scared1: they have given me for my adrenal failure. I am already broken out on half my face and starting to feel puffy. I have to get it out of my mind, but it isn't easy. So this goal will help me with my week. Thanks Vija for making sure we are putting goals and accomplishments out there!:woohoo:

I am feeling a bit better everyone! Thanks for the uplifting words and I mean it! You guys really know how to make a lady feel better. I stepped on the scale today and already lost 3# of what I had gained. Thank Heavens! I am going to step it up and keep it going. I am having a hard time exercising, because my ankle is really hurting, but I am going to do my best.

Oh dear, sorry about the puffiness. That does stink. You have some great goals and you are welcome! I know that it will be great to hear everyones personal goals and see the progress everyone is making.

Hi everyone,

Yay! We didn't post a gain.:rotfl: JK. Congrats Blue Team!

Boy this week is crazy. A girlfriend and her 3 sons are crashing at our place until her rental is ready this weekend. She is divorcing her husband.

My goal is to journal every bite. I am such a slacker at this.

Vija, I'm glad those pounds are coming off. You'll be on the top of next week's list.

HRP, I am sorry that you have had to start on steroids. That is a pain and frustrating. Hopefully, this is only until your body gets used to them ?

Have a great day,
Beth

My personal goal for the week is to only eat what I am "alloted" and not do the "mindless eating" thing I do sometimes.

For example, I typically plan my eating out for the day. This is best for me to stay on track. If I know we will be going out, I can plan accordingly. But sometimes like cleaning up after dinner, or when we go out and I am finished but we are waiting for the bill, I tend to just eat whatever is in front of me without thinking about it. Then when I go to log it in later on, I realize just how much those "few" extra bites are adding up to here and there.

OMG! I am SOOOO hungry the last few days. I don't know what is going on. My stomach keeps grumbling, even after I just finished eating. No matter what I eat or how much I just can't seem to satisfy this hunger. I am afraid that I am going to gain, so I don't want to eat too much. But if my stomach is grumbling that it is hungry shouldn't I eat?

Oh and is this another off week for the team challanges?

My personal challange for this week is going to be to strength traning at least twice.

Teammies - been missing ya  I "run" in and read the best I can and then off I go - this week has been HECTIC and today it continues to working 1/2 day then off to DS's for the weekend to help him doing some painting - watching the Ohio State Buckeyes BEAT that team from Micigan and more painting then back home to try to straighten house and back to work on Monday - whew ...........................

I really have gotten a lot of encouragement this week just from your posts and for those who are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to new clippies - YOU GO GIRLS - AWESOME - 'tudes - you will be there.

I am sending :wizard: :wizard: to ALL for the weekend - I know I have foods that aren't the best choices facing me for the weekend - I am planning on eating the veggies that I am taking - so that I know there will be there veggies there to eat!

HUGS to all - and have a great weekend - I need to "bip" I am hoping to get 4 miles in before work and I am already behind in time:yay:

Congrats to the Black Team for winning this week! :)

And CONGRATS to our top Blue Team members! WAY TO GO!!!! :cool1:

Good morning blue team! Rise and shine, it is going to be a beautiful day!:sunny: I actually think it is going to be freezing today, :cold: but the kids are off of school, DS and DH are going hunting and DD and I have the day for some fun time. We are going to go see the BEE movie. I hope it is cute, she picked it. We also slept in today.:cloud9: I didn't get out of bed until after 8am!:cool1: DD actually joined me in bed around 7:30 and we slowly woke up, giggled and called DH to tease him that we were still sleeping! :duck: Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Vija-

How nice for you and DD to have that time together! I love snuggling with my DD in the morning-its so nice when she cuddles right up to me, just like she did when she was a baby, except she is almost 8.

Hope you liked the Bee Movie. DD went with FIL to see it, she seemed to like it.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Man its been a tough week for me. My 14yo daughter is having undiagnoised abdominal/pelvic pain and I am getting more & more upset that it seems like nothing is being done about it. The ER didn't do much but waste 4 hours of my day. Her GYN, who is treating her for menstral pain, has scheduled an ultrasound but that is not until Monday to see if she has a cyst. In the mean time she is in pain and the pain meds are going nothing for her.

Now this week I thought for sure I was going to have a gain. I have been eating what seemed like enourmous amounts. I just couldn't get statisfied. My stomach was grumbling/hungry all the time. But I am happy to report that I had another .8 loss. This brings me to the 80lb loss and officially 2/3rd of the women I was almost a year ago. I am hoping to be able to kick myself into high gear the next month or so to survive the holidays w/o a gain or even better with a loss.

Hope everyone is doing well, surviving the weekend and not giving in too much to the temptations of this time of year.

disneychrista - That new clippie looks so incredibly fabulous on you! It's so inspiring to know there are those out there like you who have accomplished so much! It makes it seem a little more doable for me when I'm feeling down.
So sorry your DD is not feeling well. It's awful when our kiddos are sick and we can't do anything for them. Hopefully her doc next week will be able to help out with answers and treatment.

Good Morning Blue Team Losers!!!

I'm so excited a short work week is upon us! I keep kids at home so the next two days will still be hectic, but Wednesday will be low numbers, then I'm closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving!

I have been really good this last week. Over the weekend I did "splurge" a little, but my daily calorie count was still below 1800 for each day. So with a good day today, I am hoping to see a lower number on the scale tomorrow morning!:woohoo:

So a couple questions for this week...

What are you thankful for?

And weight loss related...Are you doing anything differently with Thanksgiving dinner this year in order to make it healthier, or stick to you weight loss goals/plan better?

I look forward to hearing everyone's answer. I'll stop by later today to give mine.

Have a Happy Monday!!:hippie:

Good Morning, everyone!

Sorry I haven't checked back in all weekend. I have been busy Christmas shopping. Now I only have 3 people left to buy for :cool1:

This weekend I did not make the best choices food wise and since I pulled something in my shoulder I really did not exercise much last week. During the winter I get real lazy about exercising and I just want comfort food! I am determined this year to change all of that.

I am thankful for my family, friends and all my WISH Dis friends. For Thanksgiving dinner I am not really going to do anything different with the food that I make I am just going to control my portions and no overeating. When I am full thats it no more!

disneychrista- My that new clippy looks great on you. Congrats on 80 lbs! What a great accomplishment for you! I am sorry to hear about DD. I am sending you some pixiedust: for her. I hope everything turns out ok.

Have a great day everyone!

Michele

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, three terrific little boys, my brother and his wife who will be making me an auntie next summer, and all of my wonderful and supportive Dis WISH friends I have made over the last few months!

Our Thanksgiving will be at my mom's house, so I don't really have control over the menu. I did offer to make roasted veggies instead of the broccoli cheese casserole she usually makes (and that is my all time favorite). And I plan to just try to focus on portion size. (That would not have happened with the broccoli casserole. I even eat that for breakfast!:rolleyes1 ) I have also asked her to let me help by making salad and not putting the whipping cream into the fruit salad, but leaving it on the side so whoever wants it can top their fruit, and those of us who don't want it (or need it) don't have to have it.
Hopefully these little things will help me stay on track over the holiday.

What I really have to worry about is the stress eating I usually end up doing when I'm around my family for more than a few days at a time.;)

It is fun to snuggle isn't it! The Bee movie was cute, DD loved it, so that is what matters most.

I hope they find what is wrong with DD, I will say a prayer for her.

Oh MY GOSH! congrats on the new clippie!!!! That is awesome! You are very inspirational. I love the 2/3rd of the woman part... that is cool! a couple of questions for you...

What was the final straw that got you going?
How did you view the long road (i.e. lots of pounds to loose)
How did you find motivation through the whole time
Advice for someone trying to get going (and keep going) ((ahem... me ;) )
What program are you doing, and how "on" have you been since you started (how strict)

You are really an inspiration! WAY TO GO!

Geekerbell, what do you do that you are closed on Thursday and Friday? Way to go in keeping your calorie count low, that is awesome! I'll bet you will have a wonderful WI! I also like your plan for staying on track through Thanksgiving, very smart planning!

Me too, I have been so busy this weekend, but not because I was shopping... DH and DS went up deer hunting, DD went to a friends all weekend, and I was stuck working...:headache: Everyone had fun but me.:sad2: Oh well, pity party done. In the evening I went to see DD and then off to bed. I love your determination to make a difference this winter. I know what you mean about the comfort food and exercise. But just imagine this... all winter long we wear our "shells": heavy coats, sweaters, sweats, turtlenecks, etc. And then when springtime comes we shed those "shells" and guess what... we will be thinner and we will "WOW them" when we take off the winter clothes! I know we can do it, hang in there!

I am thankful that the movie Enchanted is almost out!;) I am thankful for the Holiday season and love the atmosphere, I am thankful I live in a time of modern miracles and can communicate with people around the world through the internet. I am thankful for Little House on the Prarie Reruns! I am thankful for romance novels, I am thankful for makeup! I am thankful for stretchy pants, I am thankful for Walt Disney and his vision, I am thankful for reality TV, I am thankful for so many things!!!

This year for Thanksgiving we are going to his family for lunch and my sister's for dinner. I plan on not overindulging at his mom's and saving room for desert at my sister's. I will just be carefull and take notice of what I am eating.

Yes, disneychrista, please tell us! I would love to know, too! Some days feel like I am getting no where and it is so hard to stay focused and on track. How do you deal with those days?

Vija - I run a daycare/preschool out of my home. I currently have kiddos from 4 months old to 4 years old during the day, plus my two oldest boys when they get home from school in the afternoons. My youngest is 2, so I plan on doing this for a few more years, then teach public school once he starts kinder.
