Good Friday Morning Hope everyone is well. I have packed my healthy lunch and there should be nothing in the cafeteria to temp me so should be okay. I will try to get up tomorrow morning to exercise. The beginning of the school year is always the hardest. You are on your feet all day and talking all day. My feet and legs are killing me today and after having no voice for 6 weeks I am concerned about the voice lasting through the day. It did yesterday and I am hoping for today. Then I don't have to talk all weekend.

Have a great losing day.

Starting next week I will come up with some challenges for the team. So look for them on Sunday or Monday.

Don't forget that weigh in is Tuesday so watch out for this weekend.

I'll make this short and sweet. Well, I'll try. :rotfl: I've voted myself off your team. Seriously, I've PMed Donac and asked her to omit me. And apologized for wasting people's time.

I joined at the 11th hour because I was just starting to read Intuitive Eating at the time and I was torn what was best for me. (the idea of the book and weighing in weekly/competition are not compatible)

I'm now further into the book and decided that it's best for me to bow out. I've slowly lost 25 pounds this year and have decided to keep on the same path and finish the book and see where it takes me.

I wish all of you the best. There's a lot of fantastic energy on this thread. Tons. I will be cheering for you all.

Howdy from Texas, Black Team! Happy Friday!

I was so proud of me yesterday. A whopping 50 minutes on the elliptical, and decent food choices, too--even with dining out for lunch.

Going into the weekend will be tricky, but I plan for exercise every day and good food choices. We tend to dine out some over the weekend, and I just have to either make really good choices when I'm out, or adjust the rest of the day accordingly.
 
Hi! It is Tracy checking in. I am just taking it day by day. I have been walking 3 miles every morning after I drop my dd at school. I have cut out all the snacking and I am making healthier choices instead.:goodvibes
 
Hi everybody...... I guess I'm the newest member of the black team, and I couldn't be more thrilled. After all everyone knows black is so slimming!!!!

Anyway, I am a little late. I did not come to the boards much (read not at all) during the summer. I enjoyed spending all that time with my girls (8 -- tomorrow :scared1: and 5) I am a SAHM most of the time, but last year I did go and get a job at the Happiest Place on Earth. I work very sporadically though and haven't worked since before school let out, but I'm ready to pick up a shift now because I need my fix. My dh is an airline pilot, so he's gone quite a bit. My youngest just started K though, so now I'm still able to get my workouts in. I've done pretty well, too, this week. Today is my first day not to do something, but I think I really needed a rest day. My ankles were starting to hurt and I cut my foot last night, and I'm rushing around trying to get the house cleaned and last minute things for my dd's party tomorrow. Actually, I worked up quite a sweat cleaning earlier, so maybe it hasn't been a true off day afterall.

My eating has been a little better, but truthfully anything is an improvement in that area. Water is hard for me. I don't like to drink it no matter how you fancy it up -- unless you add some lemons and sugar then I like it a lot, but that just won't do anymore. Besides I am addicted to Diet Coke -- drink way too much of it.

Anyway, that's about it for me. This is a busy weekend, but then I'll have a little bit of a breather. Then I have to get into gear for our first cruise. After that, training officially begins for the WDW 1/2 Marathon. WHAT was I thinking?? I know we don't post our weight, but I will say that I hope to be in Onderland by the time we leave on our cruise. It is a healthy, very doable interim goal for me.

You are all doing so well. I've been getting my walks in, but yesterday did not do so well in the eating dept, but today is another day. I've been on a 3 mile walk, and have a healthy food plan for the day, and I WILL STICK WITH IT!!
You are all very inspiring, and I want to be a successful part of this team.

Way to go, trampslady! 50 minutes on the elliptical!:cheer2: I would have fallen off that thing way before 50 minutes.

It sounds like everyone is going great! I haven't done my exercise yet today, but I will this evening. I have been making good food choices, and that is definitely saying something for me.
 
Welcome MiniGirl! How I would love to work at the World...I'm green with envy!

I've exercised first thing each morning all week. This is a major step from putting off until "next Monday", which I've been doing ALL YEAR LONG! It's amazing how much smoother things have gone since I've started getting my butt out of bed an hour earlier. I've got to keep this up!

My eating has been much better. I haven't been journaling food, as I know I should with WW, but I've been mindful of all the choices I'm making. Tomorrow will be interesting, because it's DD8 & I's monthly date. Gotta make good choices even though I know she'll be ordering some chocolate for dessert. :scared:

I took a big step this afternoon and registered for college beginning in January. I'm so excited but scared to death at the same time. Getting a degree at 35 is going to be much harder than when I did it at 22.

Donac, I'm looking forward to the challenge next week. Be gentle, please!

good morning ! another good day ahead of us! slept in a little late today, working out all week i guess caught up with me. i feel so energized! i feel so much better when i workout. :yay: now i just have to survive the weekend and stay focused and not falter back to bad habits! well eveybody have a good day make healthy choices. :) GO BLACK TEAM!!!:cheer2:

Good Saturday morning everyone. I slept in this morning since I waited up for ds2 to come home from the football game. He does not play football but plays in the band. They had an away game that was an hour and a half away from here so he didn't get in until 11:45. He just left for a 10AM practice.

I hope everyone has a great day. Stay on track because it is only a couple more days until the first weigh in.
 
Good morning everyone! I rode my bike for 5 miles yesterday, and it didn't kill me as bad as it did earlier in the week. I am feeling better so maybe my sister will let me in her house to work on her treadmill today. I would really like to start the couch to 5k program.

Did someone say new puppy? I would love to see pictures (or have I already missed them in this tread somewhere?). I absolutely love puppies.

Everyone have a great day! I feel really good knowing that I am actually working toward a goal with a team.

I feel sometimes like I'm feeding something but it's not hunger..... gotta work on that!
 
Hello black team. I am so excited to be a part of this challenge!

My family will be embarking on our holiday later this week and I am hoping not to go off track with all the great DIS food. I guess this trip will be like the first day at the ranch when all the participants are faced with their food demons.

I have reached my first weight loss goal alread and hope by the end of this challenge to be at or very close to my next goal.

Hang in there. I am in the same boat. I have been able to get out and walk more this week, but have found myself snacking on junk too much. I tend to start the day out right, and then lose it midafternoon. This is the end of my vacation before i start a new job on wednesday, and I so want to be on the right track. My son will go to school the next 2 days and I'm off, so I can get some good exercise in, and today I've had a healthy breakfast and hope to continue eating well. I don't want to let down the team. We can do it!!!:cheer2:
 
Hi Team, somehow I missed this thread...lol. So anyhow, my name is Darlene and I'm 26 and am commited to loosing a good deal of weight through this challenge. I've been on a "raw" diet since 8/17 and I'm already down 19 pounds and can see a real difference in my face.

These photos are from day 1, day 7, day 14 and day 21 on the diet.
