BJ's charged postage for Disney Gift Card purchase

Mad at myself. Didn't notice charge for shipping on last order with BJ's until after I placed order. I was charged $5 shipping. Did not request special shipping. Order was sent via USPS and took 2.5 weeks to arrive.

There are no BJ's in the state where I live. Target is not an option for me.

I've purchased a lot of Disney Gift Cards from BJ's as a non-member and was not charged shipping until last order. I've been ordering 12 $50 or 6 $100 cards a month. Last order I switched to 1 $500 card and 1 $100. I swear the cards had free shipping underneath the picture when I placed the order but can't confirm today because $500 card is not for sale. Currently all the cards show free shipping.

If purchasing from BJ's online -

• You do not have to be a member.
• Percentage of discount is currently 4% on $50 3 pack and $100 cards.
• Watch for shipping charge on order before placing.
• For me, average shipping time is 2 weeks, some orders shorter, some longer.

I use disneygiftcard.com to consolidate cards.

I agree that you used to not have to be a member, since I've successfully purchased as a non-member. However, it is saying on the website limit 3 per member. Have you tried with that restriction yet?

Will purchase my monthly $600 of Disney Gift Cards in a few days. I'll let you know if I have an issue with limit. Perhaps I could get around limit by placing 2 orders? Know for sure I'll be looking closely for shipping charge. I got complacent after so many orders with no shipping. Lesson learned.

I wonder if it's because you ordered a $500 one? Is there something with the shipping conditions that requires insurance on single items over so a certain amount? If so, maybe that's why you were charged a shipping fee this time and not previous? Just a guess, but does seem odd of shipping was always free. You are lucky to be able to make use of these deals, even if there is shipping involved

You live and learn. Next time, you know not to make the same mistake again I checked them out, and they do a great offer, considering its gift cards! You are so lucky to be able to do that! I would jump at the chance if they could do them via an online system or something!
