Hi all! this Disney Cruise will be the first time I get to use the passport I bought to go on a fialed trip to Costa Rica and so I have a strange question for you all. Technically the Bahamas are British Territory, can you get a passport stamp in Nassau? I would be one HAPPY cruiser if I could get "proof" I used my passport. My parents were on a Norwegian cruise that stopped at fanning Island in the pacific and they were able to get one there "from 2 guys under a palm tree" according to my mother. (Fanning island population is like 100)
Thanks,
Minnesota

Nassau is on New Providence Island, which is the most populous island of the Bahamas. There's a few more people there than at Fanning Island. It's also the seat of government for the Bahamas. I'm not sure if you'd need to seek out the Customs House or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but I suspect you could get your passport stamped at one or the other of these two locations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located on East Hill Street (just a couple blocks from the dock).

The Customs Department is located at the Customs House which is on Thompson Blvd. I'm not sure where Thompson Blvd is... apparently it's not as close to the dock.

There is a Welcome Centre, operated by the Minstry of Tourism, at Prince George Dock. I'm sure the folks there could direct you.

Hey Dave or anyone,

I love getting passport stamps, too. What about St. Maarten/St Martin? Can you get stamps for them? Is there anything for St Thomas on a U.S. passport reentry?
