Bizarre weather today, 10/1/10

[Disney Dreams]

In various areas less than 1 hour from Disneyland:

- lightning
- thunder
- rainstorms
- really humid
- weather in the 90s
- power outages (Knotts Berry Farm reportedly had no power at some point this morning)

BIZARRE.

11am weather report indicates it's just passing through OC and moving inland.

I am sorry, but I have this mental image that is cracking me up. I know you guys ar enot used to this, and I am not making fun of ya'll, but I can just see everyone running around like Chicken Little with the sky falling in.

We have had our share of rain lately, lots of flooding, and our coastline received over 20 inches of rain since Sunday of this week, so it appears that weird weather is the norm right now. Let's just hope it doesn't become the new norm.

The weather has been SO bizarre this week! I've lived in San Diego my entire life and Monday was the hotest day I can remember. It got up to 107 at my house. Yesterday, I saw/heard more lightening and thunder than I EVER have. It was crazy!

That is weird.....here there's no rain but the beginning of the week was well over 100 until today and I'm actually sitting here cold...it's very odd.

At 8am I was looking out my window and it just started pouring and thunder/lightning...the whole bit. Then 15 minutes later it cleared up...Can't decide if I feel like stopping by today. Hope it stays clear for all those Halloween party people...

It has definitely been weird weather here today.

I was at work this morning chatting with a co-worker and kind of saw lightening out of the corner of my eye and immediately turned my head to look. My co-worker said she saw a flash and then my reaction as well. We both looked at each other and said, was that lightening just as the thunder was clapping. We went back to chatting and a few minutes later I look at her and say it is raining. And raining hard. We look out the windows and see the street was flooding. And then as quick as it came, it was done, and now sunny. Really bizarre.

I was JUST thinking that -- especially with all the freakish heat early in the week... this is what my family calls Earthquake Weather.

We flew out of LAX this morning and saw these huge storm clouds. People were commenting all week about the heat. We were in the park for the record heat day on Monday. Outside SoC at 4:00PM it was 111 according to the guy's IPhone beside me!
No lines but man was it hot!

Living in NorCal we say it's earthquake weather when everything is absolutely still and its warm. I guess that's the way it was last weekend (don't know I was at DL LOL).
