ok I know this sounds strange (I didn't even know where to post this!) but I need my diet mountain dew in the morning (I don't drink coffee). I have had no luck finding it anywhere at the resorts or parks. I figured my options are to have a case shipped there (which I figured will cost around $25-30); I thought I was onto something with Garden Grocer, but they have a $40 minimum and all I need is the soda and maybe some water--so it was only like $17.00. Another option I thought was getting a taxi to take me to a gas station--how much would that cost?
diet mountain dew would just make my vaca that much more perfect... if anyone can help me I sure would appreciate it =)

They only sell Coke products on Disney property so your best bet is to get it from somewhere offsite.

I think you can get it at the Hess station across the street from DTD.

Across from DTD is a gas station. I'm not sure if they carry Mt Dew. If you have some extra time you could walk from DTD to the grocery store at the Cross Roads shopping center.

We Go Shop (www.wegoshop.com) has a $17 service/delivery charge, but I think no minimum). That would probably be cheaper than a taxi. If you prefer Garden Grocer's $12 service/delivery charge, see if there are other items on the site you can order and take home with you - shampoo, etc.

Try NetGrocer - I don't know if they have or ship soda, but it can't hurt to look.

Take a bus to Downtown Disney. Walk or take a taxi to the other end of Hotel Plaza Boulevard, then cross the street carefully to Goodings, then take a taxi back to your resort.

I have heard of people shipping packages from home to the resort. As long as it gets there within so much time of check in, it has to clearly be labeled "hold for so and so, arrival date". Do a forum search, I am sure you will find it. I hope that helps.

We did this with our Halloween costumes, worked out fabulously!! Considering the weight of shipping pop it may be cheaper to use a grocery delivery service.

they do NOT have pepsi products at the hess across from dtd....i am addicted to mt dew and thought they would be my saving grace...no luck!! no pepsi products there either :(

None of the Hess stations located on WDW property sell Pepsi products because they are not allowed to, since WDW has that contract with Coca Cola.

I know all about addiction to Dt. Mountain Dew :rotfl: We actually rent a car for 24 hrs. just to go to the grocery store. We don't do delivery b/c I want to look at what I'm buying, ya know?. We have a resi w/ National at the Car Care Center for $60. It's worth it to us to be able to go to the grocery store and then we go to the Premium Outlets. We really like having the car for a day. We also use the car to visit other resorts. Just weight the cost vs. benefits. Good luck!!! :goodvibes

once you get oustide the gates of Disney, and it's not that far, you can hit any 7-11 type store, and they will have it. I know, I have to bring my Mountain Dew every year. Luckily, we come by car, so I just bring it with me. If I run out, I just wait until the parks close, and head out of Disney property.

I feel your pain. I have to have mine too. Planning on hitting the grocery store the first day and having a stock for the week.

I have 3 2ltrs of Diet Dew being delivered to our room the day after we arrive. ;)

9 days with no Dew would kill me, thank you Garden Grocer. :)

Sea World! We are Diet Pepsi addicts and were so happy to find it for $3 a bottle at Sea World on our first trip!

On a more serious note, the last time we went we had it delivered from Garden Grocer. We were part of a Grand Gathering full of DP addicts, so I had it waiting in the room when everyone arrived. However, if you only need pop and water, I would probably take a cab to the nearsest grocery store. I think I have read that there is one near DTD.

While I could never drink the diet due to an allergy to the aspartame, I can empathize with the need for Mountain Dew. I take a 24 pack? with me in the car on any trip, because I refuse to pay what vending machines cost at motels that DO have pepsi products. The grocery store at the other end of the street from DTD is a good place to pick up needs for the trip. We have used it before.

We usually rent a car when we're down there anyhow so we tend to hit a grocery store - there is a Winn-Dixie really close by and I get my Dew there!! Its great after suffering through a day of Coke product to come back to the room and there is a cold Dew waiting for me in the fridge - heaven I tell ya!

If you only need the one a day, you might just pack it in your luggage. I packed enough for one a day for me in August,as well as SUnkist for DS. We flew SOuthwest, so we didn't get charged for the extra luggage.

Here is what I did because I can't live without it(dt. mt. dew)and they don;t sell it anywhere on site. We had no car so that was out. So depending on how much stuff you have to bring I put a 12 pack in my suitcase and it made it just fine and I was very happy for our vacation. I just packed my clothes around it and it was prefectly fine. I have done this more then once. Just make sure you leave it in the carton. I will also only drink cans so I'm not sure about how the bottles would be. The things we can't live without.

I also noticed the Hess stations on Disney property only carry Coke products. We stopped at the Hess across from DTD to get gas and a drink before we started home and noticed that they didn't have anything except coke products. I like Coke but I loves me some Mountain Dew.

We drive down so we always pack some. I can't go almost two weeks without a Dew.

I do have to agree that the day we spent at Sea World made it even better that I could get my foutain soda mt. dew. I usually only drink dt. dew but love foutain mt. dew and Sea World has it. Does anyone now who Universal has a contract with?
