Okay, this is for you MYW experts! If I upgrade to a package from room-only (which I am doing TONIGHT, for the discount! ), and the package will be paid for by September 15th (deadline), would I be able to pick up my 1-day base tickets (2 of them) and use them BEFORE our check-in date? Okay, I know that sounds crazy  , so I will elaborate. :lmao:
My parents live in Orlando. I am flying down there on October 21st with my son to spend some quality time with my family, and dh will join us October 28th. We check into POP on October 29th. If I wanted to hit MK with my mom (AP holder) and ds1 (freebie :p ) before dh arrives, would they let me? It seems like I should be able to, since the tickets are technically paid for as of September, but then again...it seems like they wouldn't let me since my vacation package hasn't "started" yet. Help me figure this out! Also, if it isn't allowed, are there any creative (yet legal) ways around this? Thanks in advance! Getting excited about this trip now! :grouphug:

I read somewhere that yes, it is possible to pick up tickets early. Just call and notify the resort that you'll be doing it so that they print them differently. We had thought about doing this our last trip, but didn't. Might do it our upcoming one, though! :cool1:

I have asked the same question and have gotten mixed reviews. So far what I have gathered is that it is not policy as tickets are tied to the package, but you can always ask.

Well, I called POP after posting this question, just to see what they'd say. I was told I COULD do this, and I'd just proceed to MK and explain the situation, and present my reservation # so they could look it up and see that I've paid, etc.
Called MK Guest Relations (the actual desk) and was told I could NOT do this. :confused3
Waited a while, called POP back (got a different person) and was told I COULD do this, DEFINITELY. She said she has worked for WDW for 11 years and knows exactly what I mean and that it IS allowed. After all, some people do proceed directly to the parks rather than checking into their resorts first...so what she is saying makes the most sense to me. It's paid for...if I'm there, why not let me use it? She says the procedure is for MK Guest Relations to contact POP to let them know I have redeemed the ticket portion of my package so it will not be put on my room key. This makes perfect sense to me, but I'm still looking for confirmation from anyone who has been there, done that and lived to tell! :rotfl:
