Bitty Baby question

At what age did your dd get a Bitty Baby? I bought one while we were waiting to be matched with our daughter from China. We've been home a couple of weeks with her and she'll be 1 in January.

So when should I give her the doll? I know she's too little now.

I gave my DD a Bitty Baby on her first Christmas, she was 9 months. I couldn't help it, I have no self control, lol!
She really didnt start playing with it until after her first birthday and even now, at 20 months she still prefers her smaller, softer dolly.
Even so, I think its a really special gift for a first Christmas, go ahead and give it to her!

My DD got her Bitty Twins on her 2nd birthday, and she really paid no attention to them till the last month or so. She turns 3 in February...lol

My DD got her Bitty Baby on her 5th b-day. Was a perfect age for her. She played with her constantly for 2 years or so. If I had to do it over again, I'd get her for her 4th b-day instead, but we didn't know anyone else with one until she was almost 5.

I got my DDs when she was about 1 1/2. It was a bit too young but as she's grown, she loves her BB. My FIL made a cradle for it & she carries her around & such. Definately a good purchase.

We're giving my dd a Bitty Baby twin for x-mas this year. She'll be 23 months. She just loves her baby dolls...carries them around everywhere. I bet she'll love it now...so probably about 2!

We got our first DD her 1st bitty baby @ 26 months and presented it to her in the hospital when I had our DD #2 so we both came home with "babies" to take care of.....

She then got the Bitty twins @ her 4th bday....

Our younger DD (now 4) got a bitty baby at age 2 for Christmas but she's never been much for dolls-prefers trains and bugs so hers sits on her bureau......

Our DD got her Bitty for her first Christmas at 5 months old, but she started playing with her at around a year. So I think her birthday or even Christmas would be perfect!

Congrats on your new daughter! A very good friend of mine is waiting for her picture of her new little girl and it is so exciting and seems to take forever...
