My oldest son is getting married at the Boardwalk next September and I am hoping to camp at the fort with my new trailer(coming from Northern Ontario).I was hoping to book soon and get some advice on loops.Does the preferred have any great benefits beside location, there is going to be only two of us and we will have transportation going to the parks. We were also considering loops 900,1000 or 1100 any comments on these.we thank you in advance and hope to hear from your good and bad experiences.Oh by the way the trailer is a 30 footer towed by an Avalanche:coffee:

Well, one of the main things is that the preferred sites have cable TV hookups, that's quite a difference from the non-preferred sites. Other than that there isn't a huge difference, but for some people that's a rather big one!

We are one of the few people who don't like the preferred sites. We don't watch TV other than to check the weather. We are too busy doing other stuff. We feel that the preferred sites are really packed together and feel too close. The 900, 1000 and 1100 loops are all full hookup but not preferred. We have camped in them all and you will not have a problem with any of them. You will be closer to the pool, campfire and meadows trading post. We like all those loops.

Orlando has a lot of local channels and their cable leaves a lot to be desired. I usually bring my satellite dish if say a race I want to see is on but that's it. If I am not at a park or sleeping I'm going to be doing something at the fort no matter what it is.

I'm not real big on the preferred sites, either. 1000 thru 1400 loops are full hook-up sites, smaller loops, and close to Meadow Recreation area. The bus stops are close at hand, and so are the comfort stations. We have a satellite system - so are not interested in Disney's cable. Their cable is filled with channels advertising ...... uh ...... Disney! Other than that, it's a couple of Orlando local channels, Disney channel & Life Time Movie Channel. Why bother?

Some of the preferred sites aren't really that close to anything, either, like the 300 & 500 loops.

A wedding at Boardwalk!!! How fun will that be????:thumbsup2

Oh, yes! Three years ago our DS got married at Sunset Pointe behind the Polynesian. A small, intimate wedding with just immediate family. Oh, what fun! We all stayed for several days following the wedding and, much to their dismay, actually ran into the honeymoon couple in MGM. Just long enough for a few quick photos before they disappeared again.
